they keep calling asking for money

I get a recording saying they are doing an  investigation with my social security number
and phone. And they say they are lawyers. This smells like a scam.

This is obviously a scam. A message stating your name, social security number,  etc. are associated with an ongoing investigation please call back immediately to this numbe. If you get a call from this number go to you local police/ district attorney's office and report them. This is the only way that I can see to put a stop to these scammers/rip off artists. I know I will be reporting them.

It's a scam. If it is a legit collection agency, by law they need to contact you by mail first.

Have fun with them when they call. Seem to be interested in what they are saying, and then say, "Excuse a minute. MARVIN!! You take that diaper off your head, and put it back on your brother!!!!" Do this a few times. They won't call back. Or tell them you don't have any money to spare because you are on your way to Vegas for some relaxation and gambling.

They are very threatening in their messages. I won't call them back...but they sure keep calling.

they have called me over 10 x a day for 3 days.  Now i Am constatly calling them back and asking them questions and they keep hanging up.. This is a scam do not give your name

They are violating The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  If they feel you owe them money, then they are supposed to mail you the information concerning any debt. Name of original  lender, amount owed, address, and phone number, etc. This is most definitely a scam. I would not answer the phone. They will give up eventually.

These individuals some how called my father in VA and stated I'm being investigated for check fraud. Get out of here I write three checks per month one for rent and two for tithes and offering.  No checks are missing,  now they keep hanging up when I call.

The call start out as a recording stating  its an on going investigation with my name and social security number press 1 to speak with a lawyer. Tired of receiving this call day after day its becoming very annoying.

They have called again stating that they are private investigators. I called lifelock and they told me that legally they have to send me information by mail and that I can have them invested. I just called back and told them that I need all of the paid loan information, by mail and email. Lifelock will be investigating it.

They called me threatenigmatic to put me in jsil

They called me about a loan I took out two years ago, and they said I owed them 700 or they will send out a cop to arrest me. I paid off all my loans in April of THIS year.....and I never took one out in 2012.
I really want to call the cops on these people
