Professional Recovery Services is a New Jersey-based collection agency with offices in Voorhees, New Jersey, Vineland, New Jersey and Las Vegas, Nevada. In business since 1990, Professional Recovery Services collects on all kinds of debt, including primary and secondary charged-off debt, which means that Professional Recovery Services (PRS) often attempts to collect on very old debt that has been through other collectors before reaching their desks. The debt collection agency collects on credit cards, consumer loans, auto loans, mortgages, second mortgages, student loans and government accounts. PRS boasts that the company has ongoing professional relationships with many Fortune 500 companies, and they may be collecting for home mortgage companies and credit cards issued by Chase and HSBC banks.

In a 2010 lawsuit alleging that Professional Recovery Services had violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the plaintiffs testified that PRS had placed over 350 telephone calls to their home and cell phones in a seven-month period. Many of the calls were placed by automated dialer, which Professional Recovery Services uses to increase the number of contacts they can make with consumers.
