Received this unsolicited call on my cell (registered on do-not-call). It was computer generated and hard to impossible to understand (it sounded like a low-life debt collector). There was no name/ID only the phone number. Reverse lookups only show it as a "landline" with various cities in GA (i.e. Roswell, Alpharetta, etc.).

Received a threatening message telling me that I must call back or I would be in legal trouble. Never mentioned my name.

I have gotten  a few calls from them. They tell me they are detectives and my husband will be served with papers today for check fraud if he doesnt get back with them. But if i do get back with them they can stop the summons. Obviously we all know if you are going to be served they cant stop it! They are some sort of debt collectors maybe? My husband doesnt have a checking account to have used to commit fraud. Our checking account has been in my name only for the last 12 years. I asked them to send proof of the debt and they refused so i mailed them a notice to prove the debt and they sent it back unopened.. I would not speak with them at all, they are not obeying the debt collection laws.

Got a call from this number today  3 times just a threatening message saying if I didn't call back I would be in legal trouble for an item that was returned by my bank. The recording didn't say a name and said to respond to reference number (none). Told me to call 855-205-9410 called both numbers and there was no answer. Need to know who to report it too. I am on the no call list which is also apparently useless.

My mom recieved a call from 855-205-4910 saying she was agent Broadanx from the Federal Government and that i needed to call her back that day because i had a federal warrant for check fraud. I called her and she said i never paid back a cash advance company and if i used a credit card and paid the full amount of $847 she would stop the process. i did and then called my boyfriend, he told me to google the number and this page came up so i cancelled the payment and they informed me to call the police and they said to call the attorney general! THEY ARE A DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY! 2 days later i got a call from 678-894-0621 stating they were Mr. Barbie from Bernstien and associates they refuse to send anything in the mail. So they are also fraudulant! These 2 numbers are the same people using different names!

I KEPT GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER ABOUT BAD CHECKS. I THOUGH THIS COMPANY WAS A SCAM BUT COME TO FIND OUT THIS COMPANY REPRESENTS A PAID DAY I HAD TAKEN OUT A COUPLE YEARS AGO. I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE CALLING THEM BACK. AFTER MAKING ARRAGMENTS TO PAY THE CALLS STOPPED AND I JUST GOT MY STATISFACTION LETTER. STRONG TACTICS BUT NOT FRAUDULANT.

THESE GUYS ALMOST GOT ME IN A LOT OF TROUBLE I TOOK OUT A LOAN BUT NEVER PAID IT BACK THE COMPANY I BORROWED THE MONEY FROM TOLD ME THEY NO LONGER HAVE THE LOAN. GAVE ME NO OTHER INFORMATION!! COME TO FIND OUT, MY LOAN HAD BEEN SOLD TO A DEBT BUYING COMPANY. THAT COMPANY HAD THIS KAUFFMAN COMPANY COLLECTING FOR THEM. JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET A PAY IN FULL LETTER WHEN YOU PAY THE DEBT OFF!!!!

Also received a call stating that I was in legal trouble and they were representing my bank. The caller never stated my name.

Complete scam.  I have perfect credit, no loans, nothing and these jokers call me twice a week.  No mention of my name, the article in question etc. At best it's a phishing scam. Tell them to take a hike if they call you.

Comments from Hammond and Copland above are probably written by the company. Discount them and read the other posts - which are all very consistent. The company knows they are being outed on the Internet and are trying to find a way to keep a lid on things long enough to scam some more people. Don't tell them anything. There is no way these people are legitimate. Attorneys know the law and know how to do things the right way. These people don't know either of those two things. Yes - it's suspicious that both the Hammond and Copland comments are in all-caps while the others are written in plain English. This suggests that they may have been written by the same person since the grammar is similar in both. I almost got scammed by this so-called "law firm" who told me they had been in business for decades. Really? So where is your website? And where are Kaufman and Bernstein? I found out through my attorney that this is a total scam. Don't fall for it.

Don't tell me they aren't frauds.  I have a credit score of 820.  I owe nothing but they want money?  They are scammers and need to go to prison.

I spoke with some lady when I got a call, from a friend who said they called him, they didn't try to get money out of him, some of the statements above just don't make since! I had a paid day loan and didn't pay it. Somethings just catch up with you. I verified who i was paying and i have a pay off letter from them. Sounds like some people don,t want to pay their bills. Everything comes back to you!!!

Mr. Zack, you should really not use my name just because I typed my comments in caps. It is a very simple process after I understood what was happening. You should not miss lead people. If you didn't take out a loan then all you have to do is tell anyone who calls you not to call any more. If you did, you should pay it back the best way you can. VERIFIED NOT A SCAM!!!! JUST GET PROOF YOU PAID!!!!

I file bankruptcy on this paid loan in july of 2008, and they still tryin to collect and refuse to talk to my attorney, yes they are scammers, because the loans has been written off.

I've been recieving calls from these alleged "attorneys" for awhile now. They threaten me with further legal action if I don't respond. They keep saying it's about a returned item from my bank. My bank tells me that there is no such returned item and that it's most likely a scam. Each time they call, I call my bank. Still no returned item. This is a scam.

My boyfriend got a call on his cell phone from this people and it didnt say a name just to call back because he had comitted check fruad, he used my phone to call back he told them that he would make payments and they told him no that he had to pay it in full. every since then they have called my phone and told me that if he didnt contact them that they where going to take a warrent out on him. A cople days later a man called my phone telling me the same thing and I ask him a few qustions and he got really hateful and he also gave me all me boyfriends info i mean everything. Then he got mad because i was qustioning him and he hung up on me. The funny thing is that the loans that they are sayn that he owes on are over 7 years old dont you think that this would have been going on for the past 6 years if what they are sayn is true. So everyone please be careful and dont pay them any money it is nothing but a big scam. if it was real they wouldnt have gave me any of his info  and they wouldnt have kept calling my phone after they called the first time and i told them that it wasnt his phone. They also called me today and i told they ladie that it wasnt his phone and she said well he left me this number to contact him so are lieing or is he and she hung up on me, and i no that he didnt leave her my number because i was with him when he talked to them. IT IS A SCAM.......
