They said they are filing a civil action suit against me for all kind of credit card fraud charges.   They say I had a credit card in 1996 that I never paid off.  I checked my credit report andthere is nothing negative on it.

A lady by the name of Jamie Price called and stated that there was a civil fraduent case on my behalf. They repeated the incorrect social security number anticipating the correct social security number to be repeated. She was very quick to hang up. I checked my background with the police department and nothing was found.

This lady Jamie called me also reporting that there was a civil action case against me and that I can settle now or be in more trouble. I hung up with her and did a search and found this site and another that help me realize this was a scam. Thanks for your help.

I got the call today. I am a 18 year high school student. I have no credit/bad credit, I live at home. I have done nothing wrong. BUT Roger Douglas called my cell phone, which the bill is in my mom's name, so how did they get my cell phone number? He left a voice message and said there was a civil action against me and I am in big trouble and told me I better call so I do not get in anymore trouble. Glad to see it is bogus but how did they know it is my cell phone?

Just got a call, caller said it was a civil acion against me. I informed her that if there was a civil action against me a civil server would show up at my door to serve me papers. She got very upset at this point and terminated the call. I have turned it over to our local authorities.

My parents got the call today from 678-916-5966 and said that case # JRK10879 Ashley Hunter Ashley Hunter Ashley Hunter RSI Claims Process Service were filing a civil complaint against me.

A woman by the name of Jessica called my mom and dad's house looking for my husband.  She claimed someone had made a report about him and that if he didn't call back charges would be pressed.  First off I don't how they associated my husband with my parents because he and I have never lived at there address or number and my huband has done nothing wrong.  I looked this nymber up online and now I know its a scam!

I received calls from my brother in West Virginia and my Father in Texas saying that they had each been contacted by Ashley Hunter with RSI Claims Processing Services and that I was about to have a civil action filed against me. Claim number DCR35856.  My family members are much releived, now that they know it's a scam.

I received a call on the answering machine .Stating there was a civil action against me.That I must call right away. By not responding I would have the civil action filed etc.

Someone called for my boss' wife at our office saying the same things as above.
Same phone number. They said they were with NSP.

Got a call from a Kelly Preston, RSI this number left on the voicemail(name familar-actress LOL) so I wonder if that's really her name.  Could be I guess...Same thing civil action against me so I Googled the number and found two sights.  I think they've called my work a couple times over the last year too.  Wrong SS#. It amazes me how they can get all this information people have mentioned.  People are too personal on blogs, my space and even I wonder Classmates.com.  How do they know dads, brothers, sisters friends?  I'll be sure to bring it up at work to let all my friends know just in case as well as my family.  Thanks for this sight!

Same thing happened to me in Texas. I have reported it to the local police dept. These people need to be in jail.

I just got a call on answering machine at 8:50 AM MST from a Kelly Preston.  Person did not mention what agency, company, or office she works for.  Mentioned about a civil complaint case against my daughter; and to forward a message to her to give Kelly Preston a call before case advances further.  Even gave a case number.  I called my daughter and she has no knowledge of a civil complaint against her.  This is second time I have received a call from this number in 2 weeks.

alway's calls while i am at work. same song and dance.theres a civil action pending and i need to call to prevent prosicution. never states their name,the company name,or any info a person can check.tired of harassment.who can put an end to it ???????

Pure harrassment.  After several days of ambigiously threatening answering machine messages, which by the way are extrememly difficult to understand...actual telephone call initiated as a wrong name/wrong number...then when asked my name it turned into a intimidating phone call threatening legal action against me for a credit card balance that was non-existent. They have your phone number...so when you provide your name, conveniently put you on hold to "transfer you"..they google you and get your address.  Armed with that, you may think that it is legite...but beware!  
The supposed caller "Ms. Clark" who forgot and then referred to herself as "Mrs. Thelms" did not like it when I started asking questions. She also was inconsistent on naming the company she represented.  When I questioned her further, like "Where is the attorney you represent located?"...she became flustered and hung up.  
Pure harrassment.  How do people get away with this?  I wonder how many are suckered into agreeing to the financial settlement she was offering to negotiate with me.  We are filing a complaint.

Angela called saying the same BS. this is a TOTAL SCAM! She gets very upset & Nervous when you ask her questions. Reported to local police and County ADA office.

Just got a call from RSI or someone saying they were with RSI looking for my sister...She doesnt even live with me...we havent lived together for over 6 years...anywho..they said the same spill...A civil complaint was filed against my sister and gave me some bogus file number...Now that I know its a scam, Im not worried about it...but geeze ppl make you money like the rest of us honest-working americans and get a real job!

a woman left a message on an associates line for my ex-wife who has not gone by my name for 12 years.  She said her company was processing a civil claim and gave a reference number. I returned the call and Roger Douglas (his real name?) said it was a discover card matter and that if I did not take care of immediately would result in a civil action.  When I pressed him for a mailing address, he hung up on me.  I called him back and was told by another that RSI was not a collection company.  When I pressed for a mailing address, he told me to write my complaints down on a piece of paper and ... Hung up. He did not have the courtesy to finish his intended insult.

I got a call from my wife. she said that someone had called my mother-in-law wanting information about me. She called me franticly. I got a little scared, but then it occured to me to look up the number on the internet and I discovered this site and the testimonials above.

I got a similar call from Sarah - left message on the answering machine.   She was with RSI Claims Processing and looking for D.D. Callahan.   My ex's name happened to be D. Callahan so I initially got upset.   But when I had time to think it through, he doesn't know where I like so he could not have given my phone to anyone.   Thank heavens for this website where we can share this kind of information.
