A lovely phone call from a hard nosed "private investigator" who uses every scare tactic in the book to collect on decade old 'debts' that you may or may not have accrued. They refuse to give you their business's name, and demand an immediate payment, including demanding you put money on a pre-paid credit card to send them money.

Otherwise, you'll be "indicted for Felony charges". Yeah, ok. The 'PI' I talked to called himself Mr.Thompson or Mr.Townsend or something to that effect.

I GOT THE SAME CALL SAYING FRAUD ACTIVITY HAS BEEN LINKED TO PHONE NUMBER/SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND I NEED TO CALL AN INVESTIGATOR,I REFUSE TO ANSWER ALL THESE NUMBERS I DONT KNOW I LEARNED A LONG TIME AGO IF SOMETHINGS LEGIT AND YOU REALLY OWE SOME ONE 9 TIMES OUT OF 10 THEY HAVE TO NOTIFY YOU BY MAIL,NOT BY HARASSING PHONE CALLS.

I got a call from this number and it was an automated message saying it was transferring me to someone. The person got on the phone and asked why I had called and for my phone number. I hung up. They called right back and left a message saying that charges were being pressed against me and to please call back to resolve the problem. I blocked the phone number. Problem solved.

Got a call about a payday loan i never applied for. Its a scam.

The FBI maintains a website IC3.Gov where you can make a complaint and if they get enough complaints they may investigate.

Two felony warrants will be sent out for my arrest and I owed money to a Payday Advance. Investigator Michelle White Ext. 310. File number cw46083

Received a call from this number, my wife couldn't get to the phone in time, and our answering machine picked it up (yes, we still use an old answering machine and not voice mail).  A woman with a Mexican/Hispanic accent, left us a voice mail asking us to get in touch with them immediately because there was a problem with our phone number, bank account number, and social security numbers.  Sounds like a scam so we are not going to call back!  

same message, link to this number, please call  right  away to solve  this message  they  call  at least  two or three  times  a  day who  are these people. they  are going to call  the sheriff  dept

Total scam . . . not clear how they got my number . . . may they rot in hell.

They call me every day at work and leave a message.  I called them and but did not verify anything  (not  over the phone with a company that does not identify themselves),  I told them to stop calling me at work and send me something in the mail if they have a debt or issue.
They told me I would just have to deal with it then..............if it's legitimate then they should agree to send it in writing to my home address.
I just want the harassing phone calls at work to stop!  It's irritating!

Yeah they called me with this same BS and I told them to send out the calvary if they want. They had info about me that I didn't verify. They even knew where I worked. Some hackers who have gotten their hands on some info from payday loan company and trying to scare someone into giving them info to collect and ravage your bank acct. If you get a call from people like this hang up and try not to verify anything. Theives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have got this call so many times saying they were pressing charges.  I've never had a payday loan. Real low life's to harass people this way in order to get a dollar from someone
