Whoever called....spoke very broken up english. Was trying to force me to keep our Yellow pages listing...which we do not even have.  I know other business owners that Yellow pages has done this too as well.

They called again this morning.  I did not answer.  Whoever it was, was not even coherent.

Some lady speaking very broken english called and was trying to sell us something with the yellow pages. After our manager told her we were not interested she kept talking.  The manager hung up on her.  She called back and I told her we were not interested, to please take us off of her calling list and hung up.
She called the third time and told me that if I did not buy it my owner was going to be very upset.  He had told her to call.  She then insisted to speak to the owner which is not even at this location. I threatened to turn her into for calling us after I requested that she stop calling.  She said good and kept trying to talk over me and threating my job. I finally said a few choice words to her and hung up on her the 3rd time.

Horrible man ...threatening call ...money request for the yellow pages ...threratened to come to my house ...had my address...threatened to double bill me if I didn't cooperate with him right away !!!!

Nasty ... then threatened me again and hung up !!!!

Called our business today.  Claimed they were from yellowpages.com.  Broken english. Kept saying they got the message from our owner to "cancel the online listing".  Advised them that is not true, we've never contacted them and we don't have a listing with them. Then tried to say the owner is the one that did it so she wanted to speak with him..told her that's a lie cause the owner is my husband and he doesn't work in the office and answer phones to try again. I asked her for the phone # back to speak with a supervisor, said they don't have phones??  She then became irate and said she was just trying to help me so we didn't get "double billed", adv her we won't have a bill at all since we've never signed up anything with them. Started yelling at me so I told her to never call again, remove our name from the calling list and I was reporting them to the unlawful call center.

I had the same call this am.  I am in the same shoes you are, husband does not answer phones, I do, and I know for a fact he didn't speak to them and this guy became a total A**hole and then I hung up on him.  These people are idiots!

A lady called trying to say she was with "Windows" and that someone had downloaded something on our computer that could be a problem. Obvious scam, I believe she had an India accent.

Received a call from (682) 300-2403. When I answered, they hung up. Glad to know who it is. Thanks for sharing, folks. 4/10/12 2PM

I have received 2 calls from this place today.. both referring to the yellow pages and cancelling our account and paying an outstanding balance from the past 2 years of advertising. He had broken English and I told him my account was current and  I was calling my account rep both times and he hung up on me.  This is some sort of new scam. He was not a telemarketer.

Same thing, the man kept telling me to speak proper English and I said "What company are you with" he said "no the proper English is What company do you work for".  Then I said may I speak to you boss and he said again "Use proper English" I said I do not need a lesson in English and he hung up.  They call twice a day every day for over a month now, usually they hang up but this time when I answered I did not say hello, I stayed quiet and he spoke first.  I call the number back and it says the number is not in service.  Total scam.

682-300-2403 - They have called several times this morning. "Brian Smith" from "Yellow Pages" said my boss contacted them to cancel our listing as it's gotten too expensive. He read me our address, which was correct, then talked in very fast mostly broken English for me to verify information and to hold for their cancellation department which would then "ask 2 questions" which I was instructed to "just say yes" to, then I would be re-connected to him to give him a cancellation number. Seemed sketchy so I passed the call to my business manager. He was very rude to her. She ended the call and he has called back several times since.

They are calling me right now. This is a scam. If you have any doubts call yellowpages.com and ask about your advertising subscription at 1-800-479-2977 They are very pushy and will try to get you to accept an invoice for the amount of 599.

The lady was like "ill entrust you with my phone number and address here in new york"... even though the area code is from texas.


They're gonna try to force you to clearly say "yes" to some guys other questions in the "quality control" to cancel your stuff even though you were talking to the cancellation department the first time.

When I told her that I would say yes to the other guys questions she tried to connect me but they were "on break".


If you ever get a call from someone trying to sell you or send you an invoice or anything suspicious, find a number for yellow pages or the company to confirm their identity.

These are social engineer scammers. Don't talk to them.

682-300-2403 Has been called 2x a day, everyday since the beginning of May.  Last week I didn't pick up.  This morning it started again but earlier in the morning than last week.  Apparently on the reverse search it's on a cell phone from Texas.

This is a residence not a business and I do not have a fax machine. Please stop calling.

Same story, wanted to know if I wanted to cancel my YP listing..........I said to him we do NOT have a YP listing so go away! I hung up on him

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!! They have called me day after day! Advised me that they needed $1200.00 a month to stay in the yellow pages. We do own a business and I am tired of tese none english talking people trying to carry on a conversation. I reported them to the national do not call list anyone can register these numbers and complaint to the do not call list which will be registered with the federal goverment. everyone of us (owners of business and (non owners) needs to stand together and try and find where this compant is located and file a complaint or law suite against the owner of this company! Or talk to some news media about this company and all companys that calls you to scam you out of money! It concerns me of how many of our eldery people that all the scamers has gotten there last penney they had!

Ditto  Broken English, very forceful, my owner Mr. Alec asked for this two weeks ago, trying to avoid two years of double billing. I asked which country they were in and asked to be transferred to the US which was bull. I could hear other broken English voices in the background.  I was transferred to the Quality control and she was even more persistent and finally hung up on me.  We have never placed an order or authorized this. I was trying to clarify which Yellow Pages and got three answers.

They called and a lady with a thick Indian accent was on the phone. She asked for our owner by name. When I said she wasn't in, she said that she spoke to her a couple days ago but their phone call had to end short because our owner was busy. She said our owner gave permission for them to call back and speak to anyone else. She said that our owner wanted to cancel our account (which we NEVER had an account) and that if I verbally accepted their invoice ($599!!!) that they would provide me with a cancellation number over the phone and would send the cancellation paperwork with the invoice. The lady even tried "coaching" me on the answers of which I needed to give saying 1.) That I was the owners secretary (which I am not), 2.) That I have permission to handle invoices and 3.) That I have permission to pay invoices. At this point I felt it was shady, hung up, googled the number and read all of this. I also filed a complaint against them at FTC website. HANG UP if they call... and file with FTC. They are scam artists! Beware!
