Why would anyone tell anyone to hurry press anything? Just don't answer it instead is safer!

I waited for the auto message to finish and someone to come on line. I was told I could lower my interest rate but needed to do it today.  I asked which card this was for and they said your Visa or MasterCard. I said I have a couple, which one and he quickly rambled off a few names. I did happen to have one of them and he asked for the last 4 digits for confirmation. When I told him I didn't  have the card with me he repeated me. I told him no, my cards were at home and I'm at work. Then he wanted me to get on line and log into my account for the numbers. I repeated I can't I'm at work, but you can give me your phone number and I will call you when I get home. He said he'd be happy to call me back and promptly hung up.  I emailed my credit card company.

I got a phone call on my cell from this number on 4/22/2014 at 9:43 am offering to lower my interest rate on my credit card. Funny thing is I use my land-line not my cell as a contact for all my credit cards so I was curious. It started with a recorded message to to press 1 to lower my rate. I pressed 1. Man came on and said they could lower my rate on my credit card. I asked which one? Response: Visa, Again I asked which one? He rattled off your Bank of America, Capital One or Chase. I said I have many credit cards, so which one? Response: the one with a $3200 balance. I said to him, none have that balance, I pay them off every month, so if you are showing a balance on any account with my name, then it's fraud.
CLICK he hung up.

No doubt in my mind that this is a scam, DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!!

I forgot to add that I tried call the number back and got a recording that it is not a working number.

I got a call at 630 Monday morning and when I asked why they called me at 630 am he hung up what a douch bag company

Didn't answer.  They called me at 5:30 AM PST and my area code is a California number.
