My daughter has done the same thing so far I have been charged twice even though she never pressed to accept the game. Company is called M-biz and there is a regulator that you can log your complaint with.Their number is 0845 600 6105 My complaint was only logged yesterday they gave me a reference number  and they have given M-biz 2 working days to contact me. M-biz seem to be ripping off a lot of people and I don't think they should be able to get away with it.

This has also happened to me - my sister was messing with a game on my Samsung Tocco Lite, but said she had only opened it for a few seconds. I received a text afterwards with an unlocking code and telling me that I have been charged £4.50. I will be phoning Orange to ask for a refund.

    Hi all,

Am really relieved to have found this support forum.

I too have a Samsung Tocco Lite - purchased it yesterday (28/12/10) and was having a click around trying to figure out what the buttons do etc.

Clicked into 'Java Games' then onto 'PacMan Championship' demo and before I knew it, I'd bought this game and been charged £4.50!!!!!! Don't even want the thing - I don't even play games!!!

Also, I was sent this 'unlocking code' but didn't even click it to confirm/accept their charges!!!!

I feel this MBiz is a complete scam outfit. I have already e-mailed them several livid e-mails but now am at a loss what to do.

I have contacted Orange - they don't want to know, pretty much acted like it was my fault.

I AM WILLING TO GO TO WATCHDOG THIS IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER JOKE!!!!!

Don't worry I too have been checking my sons PAYG bill on Virgin and found the same problem. A text msg for 10p then a £4.50 sting in the tail assigned to number 700046033. I am assuming its the underhand way in which the games are entered on the handset.
My son is certain that he's not text any numbers and the statement thus far confirms it. I can however see the unlock code when you want to play games and no billing warning. Thankfully its not a contract phone or god help me.
Network providers will not be interested because it is a user issue. If in doubt remove the games if you can from the handset to prevent any further problems.

I bought a Samsung Tocco Lite for my 10yr old daughter. She used a pre-loaded game and got charged £4-50 without trying to unlock it. A message was recieved from 82018 saying "UNLOCKING CODE xxxxxx This game has cost £4.50. UNLOCKING THE GAME CONFIRMS YOUR AFGREEMENT TO OUR TERMS AT WWW.MBIZ-SUPPORT.COM. CUSTOMER CARE 02071933283".

It looks like Samsung are aiding and abetting in fraud/theft.

    freephone number for scammer
my network operator were kind enough to give me the FREEPHONE number for company responsible for the operation of 700046033.  mbiz I think

at first they tried to claim it was nothing to do with them and they were the department responsible for 'customer care'.  Don't take no [***] from these [***] and give them hell.

This is 2011 and its still happening.  My son has been charged 4.50 after playing a trial of a new game on his Samsung Phone.  What a scam.  The website and customer service numbers don't work!! Who do I contact?

My daughter 4, managed to purchase the same game 5 times. Which is £4.50 a pop. Now what bugs me the most is that they say on their website do not order the same game more than once as you will be charged no matter how many times you order it. How can they brazenly steal people's money??? I am on a contract so this will come out of my account no matter what! Virgin takes no responsibility for third party content but it must at some point dawn on them that it is bad business for them too if people get conned this way! The same thing happened to me when I got the phone, because it is so easy to order, virtually 1 press of a button, and you're in!!! This should be illegal! Not only they pfish people with messages as I can see here but you do not need to confirm the purchase in several steps, like on other reputable websites, so a 4 year old can do it. I don't even know what game or games she bought the code for! I hope customer services will be able to tell so I can at least unlock the game! HOW ARE THEY ALLOWED TO SELL THE SAME GAME REPEATEDLY? It is too easy to buy, it gives a screen, full version this much, then on the bottom there is only an ok, there is no "cancel" button. So you're automatically press ok. The only way to exit as I found out if you press the left or middle button on the phone. We should get together and launch an official complaint. I will try You and Yours and Trading Standards or Ofcom. I have been awarded money before through complaints for Auction sites same daughter at age 2, it is long procedure but what is illegal and entrapment will get punished.

    Hi ALL!
2 days ago bought at PC-WORLD (but sold by Phones 4 U ?!?!?!?!?) SAMSUNG GT-E2121B with some 'free demo' games. Gave the phone to my son (12Y old) and topped-up with  £10 (PAYG with O2) so that he can call me in emergency and I can call him when needed. Now there is only £1 on the balance. Wonder why ? He seems to have orderred 2 games from MBIZ. I know that he never purchased anything like that and I have a strong reason to believe that the phone was even switched off by the time the 'purchase' SMS were registerred in O2 - school time. We received 2 messages exactly the same as Mark Mul quoted. And we never used the  únlock' codes, they still got the money though. What else is this if not a rotten criminal business? I can't believe that this is happening for 3 years now and those [***] are getting away with that. They must be making millions through this scam. O2 say they are not responsible for what happened, yet they still allow those scammers to use their network. The network operators and the phone retailers are definitely aware of the business, so what ...

A short follow up: Rang M-BIZ - promissed refund in 2 weeks (!?!?!?!?!) after I fill the refund form. During the phone conversation they just cut me off and apparently included my phone number in their black list'' - they wouldn''t pick up afterI rang again. Never mind. Spoke to PhonepayPlus: they explained how good the games are designed and how clearly they indicate the purchase steps and conditions. They dismissed my explanations of that my son never consented to a purchase. How helpfull this is ?
Well, I don't see real hope with this issue, does anybody ...

My sons received a text message and was charged £4.50.  It was for a trial game that we have not subscribed to.  I will be talking to Samsung and Virgin about baring certain numbers and deleting these trail games.  This is theft and should stop.
