This is a scam!!!

I am sick of these marketening calls especially my cell phone. If I try to tell them to remove my number from their call list, they hang up on me.

Just got another call from this number ... stayed on line after selecting #1 for information; when I asked the company name, the man hung up.  If  you redial the number, the announcement says it is a non-working number.  I am on the do-not-call registry and if I could have gotten any information from these people I could have reported them.  It is illegal for telemarketers to use cell phones to hawk business and the fine is substantial!

With a little more research, found that this is a landline in Dunn County, ND, serviced by Midcontinent Communications.  I spoke with a customer service representative who could not find an account with that number.  He is, however, forwarding the information to whatever department handles this kind of complaint.  So, the scammers sewer on!

Yep... just got another one.  No indication which company or which card I'm using...  asking to press #1 to talk to a specialist which can lower my interested rate to 6.9% blar blar blar...

I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

At 5:00 PM PDST my cell phone rang.  My husband picked before checking.  As soon as he answered the recording started, "This Rachel from credit card services", and he knew he should not have answered.  Only numberes in my cell phone with a name are answered.  This the first robo call from "credit card services".  This is very, very annoying!

Number came up on the caller id, no answer on the other end.  My guess is to not say hello until the other end speaks first.  

Definitely telemarketing.  

this number called me after 9 PM!!! i didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

I call back and the phone company said : this is not a working number :)  funny !

The DO NOT CALL LIST DOES NOT WORK , some body help !

Received the same call and pressed #1 for information about a lower rate.  She asked who she was speaking with and I said with the offer she should already know.  Phone went dead!!!!   Phishing

The people who make these calls are criminals.  They do not respect the do not call list.  My solution: if the number is not in my contact list I don't answer.  Any legitimate caller will leave a message.  If you happen to answer the call and a telemarketer starts talking or an automated voice message begins, hang up immediately.  Do not say anything!   Do not, under any circumstances, talk to these people or follow the automated prompts.  It's a game you can't win so don't play.

Received back to back calls from this number 1 minute apart.  Scam.

Just received a call and googled the number first.. saw this thread.  Thank you guys.. So glad I have Blacklist for Android.. no more calls from this number.

Got 2 calls from this number within a couple of minutes, answered both but there was no one on the other end.

The same thing just happened to me. I was in class the other day and I got a call from this number and I ignored it. They immediately called back (literally 5 seconds after I ignored it) and I ignored it again. They immediately called back again so I answered and you can guess the rest. I thought it was over until I just got another call. Time to block a number!

Thanks for this thread. I received a call from this number 2 days in a row just after 3 pm today and yesterday. I didn't answer either and Google led me here. I won't be answering any of these now.

do you have any idea how many new legitimate businesses have started since the inception of the DNC list?  imagine if all of them were calling too?

the DNC list serves it's purpose, but CRIMINALS do not obey the law.  ANY law!
