Received a call saying they were yellow US pages. Calling to verify free listing info. I asked to repeat where he was calling form as it was hard to understand what he was saying. He repeated that it was yellow US pages and he was the owner. He then hung up. I googled yellow US pages and called to find out if my business had a listing that i was unaware of and I don't. They also said they don't have people maknig those kinds of phone calls

I got a call twice yesterday from this number. The second time I picked up and someone with a heavy Indian accent said he was verifying my confidential business listing, named a business I no longer operate, and my address to confirm his info. When I told him I no longer operate that business he said, "If you no longer run the business then why are you wasting my time?" and hung up. This yahoo called me!

I get them calling me all the time too. And when I try to ask anything, they hang up on me. I have reported them to the site --> www.donotcall.gov

I hope you will report them too. What Yellow Pages tries to do, is to get you to do is some form of positive reply from you, (typing it in as a subscription yes) then they "Slam" you, & sign you up for a $200 listing.

I Did not recognize this # so I did not answer . I googled it and  Found out it is a scam.

I've talked to these people and it is some sort of "listing company"...they asked about listing my business...which is non existent.  But they keep calling...I have ignored their last few calls.

Be very leery about these calls.  They will also send faxes showing that your company is listed in the Yellow Pages but you really aren't.  They dumby up the faxes to make it look legit and then in tiny print at the bottom it says they are based in India or UAE and if you sign, it will cost $2000 a year and you are then contracted for at least 2 years. Read the fine print and tell them to send you something via fax if it's really legit.  All scammers.  Who even uses the Yellow Pages anymore for businesses?

I am getting calls daily to my cell from this number 702-257-0421, when answered know one speaks.

When the heavy accented lady called she immediately asked for my name. I said "Not on your life. I don't know who you are". She mumbled the company name, to which I continued, "You are not getting my information and I will do everything to have you arrested", then said goodbye and hung up. I don't know if I can do a satisfactory follow up but I am going to check into it.

Same as other posts, but the woman sounded American.  The connection was very bad, so I kept asking her to repeat what she said.  She finally hung up.

I have received daily calls for the past month from this number.  No one speaks when I answer the telephone.  Today within 20 minutes I received 4 calls.  I now pick up and hang up the receiver without saying anything.

First call today.  Someone was there and spoke, but acted like he couldn't hear me.  Said he'd call me back.  I said, "Okay" and immediately blocked the number.

I have no idea what he's selling.  Just know that I don't want it. Whatever it is.

PEOPLE!!!  If you don't have a phone that allows you to block numbers, invest in one.  Best thing I ever did!

And when you get those faxes, look for a note in the fine print at the bottom with a number to call to be removed from the list.  IT WORKS!!!

Now that's a hoot - I save the numbers that call and don't leave messages as "Pests" and add (as I will now) that they are from Yellow Pages.  That way when the number comes up again - I just ignore it.  They normally don't leave a message.  Some of them never give up, but at least the phone call is charged to them and not me.  It's only when I feel like holding them for a long time that I say "Can you hold for a moment?" and then I lay the phone down until I hear the operator say "If you'd like to make a cal. . . . . ."  That will usually caused them to make a note not to call back in their system.  LOL  Hey - at least they are working and possibly not drawing freebees from the taxes I'm paying.

Yes. they called us and said that it was a yellow page cancellation and even gave a confirmation #. You're absolutely right. They get you to answer a series of questions confirming 'Yes'. I gave them a phony name. Then they said our final bill would be $649.99 and if we paid over the phone by credit card or via bank draft we would get a discount of $100. I asked them to hold and they hung up. If they send anything here that says we owe them any money, they can wait until the bottom falls out of hell. Sick of scammers. The government needs to do more to protect people from these dogs.

I just got the same call to verify business information and did I want to cancel. I said I was closing my business and to cancel as I have been telling that to all callers. He said it would cost $649 for the past 2 years of service and they would send a bill. I told him I never hired his company and he said he had a signed contract that he would send it along. I told him again that I never signed a contract. He insisted. I hung up. He called and called and called and called and I ignored his calls.

We have been getting calls from this phone number 2-3 times per day.  I have called it back and no ring or anything.  In the caller id it says it is from Las Vegas NV.

This number calls our office, but there's just that deadly silence. I hang up.

Received two calls from this number today at work. The number shows but the caller name shows UNKNOWN. The first call no one said anything. The second call was from a woman who didn't speak English very well asking me to update my free business yellow page listing. I transfered them off to out corporate office saying I couldn't help them.

702-257-0421 has called at least 3X an automated answering machine says it's connecting me to...and then goes silent
