Answered phone got recording wanting to lower my interest rate on my Visa card.
Then they called me by my son's name who doesn't have any credit cards whatsoever.

I think it's a scam trying to get credit card info. Beware. don't give them any information.

    SCAM!!!!!

I answered the phone and it was a recording asking to lower my interest rate on my credit card.
So pushed whatever key to get more info and got this punk who tried to get info on my son's credit card, and he doesn't have any. But he did have my son's name, and the son gets all kinds of credit card offers.
I think somebody's been stealing mail and then called here phishing.

This is a scam to gain credit card information.  BEWARE.

    Don't give them any information.

Yah, called my office. It rang to an international number after I pressed 1. Guy said he works for all Visa and Mastercard holders. Right. I asked the fellow if I could speak to his supervisor, which country he was calling from, and some other questions. He started chewing in my ear and laughing, and eventually hung up!

Called my cell phone.  I looked up the number and found it was Las Vegas. Didn't know anyone living or visiting Las Vegas at the time so I never checked the message but knew it was either a sales call or scam. I do not have any debt collectors trying to find me. I am registered with Do Not Call Register so it probably was not a sales call. Probably a scam now that I see others have received this call.

I just got a call from this number.  It was a recording telling me they can lower my cc interest rates.  I pushed the option to talk to a person.  I asked several time what his company name is to which he responded "Card Member Services"  I was googling as I had him on the phone, but he hung up on me before i found anything.  But he just asked how much debt I have and what my approx interest rates are.  I lied, but he ended up hanging up on me anyway.

According to freephonetracer.com this is actually a landline, in spite of what the caller ID says. It is registered to     Mpower Communications Corp - Nv which is apparently a call center.

They called me today @ 5:13 PM in Western Washington. I didn't answer and the computer on their end hung up when my answering machine beeped.

Called me in Alaska on my cellphone today while I was at work.  I lived in Vegas for a while so I thought it was legitimate.  Since I was working, I let it roll to voice mail.  He didn't leave a message.  I called back just now and got a "Hello, Hello, Hello" voice mail recording.  The voice sounded like a male.  Then the Nextel Voice mail prompt gave me an automated message saying "The subscriber your trying to reach is not accepting messages at this time"  It was definitively either a Nextel or Boost (Nextel subsidiary) voice mail prompt.  Having worked in technical support for Sprint/Nextel, Verizon, and At&T over the years (until my job was outsourced to India), I am for certain it was that particular voice mail system prompt.  1) Telemarketers are not allowed to call cellular phones (bill collectors can if you gave them the number).  2) The do not call list does work with legitimate companies.  These guys are crooks not legitimate  3) He best not call me again or I will report him to the Las Vegas Police Department or the FBI since its interstate criminal activity its a federal crime.  Then again I am sure they wouldn't do much.  I bet they get plenty of complaints daily about idiots like this.  Its obvious this is a criminal trying to get innocent people's credit card information so he can do something fraudulent.  NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO SOMEONE CALLING YOU.

LV number, prompted to press 1 for more info regarding lowering debt and interest rates.  My credit cards are all paid off, so I naturally was curious.  I asked where they were calling from, and they said "Your Card Services Department", I asked "Which Card", she replied "We work for all your credit cards."  I laughed, she asked to verify some information, and when I asked her again to specify WHICH card she was calling about specifically, she hung up.

OBVIOUS PHISHING SCAM!  Do not give them any info!

Caller said it was our second call about our credit card. We hung up as we have had this type of call before, The Caller ID said Nevada. We have no credit cards with overdue balances so know that it was not a legitimate call. Would like this type of calls to stop!

called my home offering credit card. When I asked him his name & company he gave me "Jason" from Green Oak Co." When I asked how he got my ph#, he lsaid 'one of the major credit companies, and I told him I was on "do not call list".  He said 'well, I lied and that is not my name and company name anyhow and I don't really care anyhow".  He was rude, abrasive and I reported the call to the major credit reporting companies as well as the "do not call" listing.  DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS PH.# OR PERSON.  THEY ARE CROOKS!!!

Just got a call from this number. The caller ID said "Wireless Caller". I let the machine take it and they hung up.

What I want to know is how these places are getting my home phone number since it's unlisted. I've been getting a lot of these calls lately and it's really getting annoying. I'd change my number but I doubt that would do any good as the one I have has always been unlisted from day one. I always report these to the Do Not Call registry, but it seems like that's a waste of time and they continue to call.
