Got two calls from this number 2/8/11. It's identified as CNG on caller ID. I see that other people are getting calls from CNG from another 702 number.

when I picked up  they hung up

This number calls but no one is on the other end and it hangs up

When you call back it says thank you for calling your local newspaper. How do you get them to STOP???

I've got a call from CNG (702) 576-0450... isn't 702 a vegas number?! They do they keep calling!

Someone there needs to do a retroactive abortion.

I have gotten several calls from CNG which I don't answer.  I called the number back and as someone else reported, the recording thanks you for calling your local newspaper.  How do we get this to stop especially if when you do answer they hang up on you?

Eventually, someone did come on the line and offer me a special discount on the Washington Times.

Our business gets "ghost calls" from this number several times a day! Always answering but never hearing anything on the other line. Getting seriously annoying when we have more important calls trying to get through! Not to mention it's a Vegas number and we are on the east coast..

Called and an automated message said "Thank you for calling your local newspaper, all agents are currently busy, please hold."

I am being  called and called again by collection agencies and I owe not one penny to anyone  this one is 702  576 0450  also I willl list the numbers horrifyin me day and night

Received call from 702-576-0450.  ID = CNG.

Called back and discovered it belonged to Crossfire Newspaper Group trying to sell me 4 Sunday papers.

I have also been contacted by this 702-576-0450 and am reluctant to call back. It may triggers many other unsolicited calls.  My suggestion is NEVER pick up the phone.  The caller will eventually move on to other numbers.  Another thing I will do, and I encourage you to do, is report this number to the DO NOT CALL hotline as they violating the rights to those who have choose to be on this list in the first place.

Let me add to my last post now that I am seeing the word NEWSPAPER..... approximately three weeks ago, (this is about the time I started receiving these phone calls) I signed up with USA Today for a nine week subscription.  If you have signed up for any subscriptions to any news related material, magazines, etc. let everyone know and maybe can narrow this down,. Our phone numbers may have been sold to this particular company.  Although,  I did not supply my number, our names may have been sold, and the internet has many ways to find a telephone number.  Any comments would be appreciated.

I recently subscribed to the Star Tribune, and now am getting these calls frequently. (Not sure who sold my name to CNG, but not too happy about unwanted calls!)  I got annoyed and finally answered and noone was there. I've since blocked the call. Call your phone provider and get the [***] blocked, or download an app on your smart phone to weed these creeps out.

One of MANY numbers the St. Paul Pioneer Press uses.  They have call centers in Reno, Dallas, Baltimore, Jacksonville, etc. etc.  Same thing with the Star Tribune.  They have been calling me relentlessly for 2 years from several numbers and no one is ever there when I pick up.  This is absolute harrassment.  Even though I am on the "do not call " list and report these numbers on a regular basis, they continue.  Can't wait for digital only uses to put them out of business.  i encourage everyone to NOT buy their newspapers.

I called the # back and a friendly person answered. I asked to be removed from their call list he said sure and the calls have stopped.

Also have been receiving calls from CNG @ 702-576-0450 - at least 2 a day for nearly a week. I finally got fed up and called the number back. After being on hold for a short time I was connected to a live person who told me that she represented our local newspaper - the Appeal Democrat. She started to ask me if I was interested in subscribing. I cut her off and told her I was tired of receiving her calls and wanted my name removed from their calling list. She told me she would do it immediately and told me to have a nice day (yeah, right). Then I emailed the customer service department of the Appeal Democrat and told them the whole story. I said that if this was a company they had hired they were only succeeding in pissing people off.  I got a reply from the "Customer Care Manager" at the Appeal Democrat asking for my phone number and address so she could make sure my number had been removed from the calling list. Needless to say I wrote back and told her no. I haven't received any more calls from CNG and will never consider subscribing to the Appeal Democrat again.

This number has been calling twice in one day. It says CNG. Once I pick up the phone, they hang you up.
