This is credit card services trying to run a scam! Can lower interest rates but want to hit you with huge out of pocket deductions

I first got a call from 253-236-2035 about dropping my Capital One interest rate and I verified my accounts numbers which they had and then I GOOGLED the number and found out it was a scam. Then I got the call from 702-705-5251. I did not answer it. I called Capital One and they were aware of the scam and I cancelled the cards and they are going to issue me new ones.

I got a message from this person too. I answered an just said "Hello?" they said "Hello" after struggling a few seconds. Then hung up.

is this spam/ad ? didn't answer it

called me around noon... i said "hello", a manly voice said "uh, hi" after a few seconds & i was like "yeah...?" & they hung up ...

what just happend ??

I had a little chat with one of this guys, he wanted me to give him my account number, after we argued for a couple of minutes. I realized that the best way to pissed them off is to play dumb. Answer something completely different to their question. When he asked for my SS last 4 digits I said: "Wow, you finally got me, tell John I will never use his Credit Card again. I know that's why you're calling". "Don't lie to me, John asked you to call me" "No, put John on the phone, why would he ask you to call me?..." "I know he is right next to you, put him on the phone... Putttt himmmm on the phone!." "I'm not going to continue until I speak with John!"...
Next time they call you, tell them that you don't speak English, "no entiendo señor" and they will stop calling you. If they call back, (which they did to me) the person on the phone spoke Spanish, I told him "parlez vou Francais" but make sure to sound genuine. And at whatever answer you get, you say "Sorry, No English" and hang up.

They called and said I contact them for lower interest rate on my credit card which I did not.  This is not a real business.

Just got a call from this number today claiming to be Bank of America. Some Indian guy told me he could lower my interest rate. He then told me I had a balance that was waaaaaaay higher than I do. When I told him this was incorrect, he hung up. It's a scam.

I too got a call from this company in Vegas claiming to lower your interest rates. Because they didnt say what card they were from I pressed option to to cancel the call.

10 min ago my wife called me from ohare airport and said she got a call from that number as well wonderin how they got through when we r on the national and state no call baffles me i am in wisconsin carefull what u do and say it is a SCAM

Just got a call from 702-705-5251 to New York City; couldn't pick up, but I am grateful to this website for putting me on to this scammer. We are on the National Do Not Call List; how do these sleezies get away with this? Mr. Congressman, where is the teeth to enforce this important law?

Just got one in Connecticut today too.  702-705-5251. Looks like they are hitting the North East Corridor this afternoon.  Not smart to hit Connecticut or New York. Connecticut regulators are bored and looking for a scammer to hammer. NY regulators are voracious  -- US Attorney or Cuomo -- any of those agencies will make mince meat of them if they do anything improper.

They're moving north to Mass. - just got a call on my cell.  Didn't answer, no message.

I got a missed call from this number today as well, and I am in San Diego.  I wonder how my cell # is available to telemarketers/scammers because I've been on the DNC list for years.  Very annoying.

Got a call from 702-705-5251 saying I needed to call them back or my credit card would be canceled and my 6.9 interest rate would go up.  They did not identify themselves or which credit card.  I contacted both cards and they said they never made the call.  SCAM ARTISTS for sure!!

i never answer strange numbers; if they need me, they know how to leave a voice mail. if they don't i look online to see if it's a scam. most of the time i know it is. And i really know it is when i live in Washington adn it comes from Nevada.

I got a call from 702-705-5251 on Dec 5 saying that they could lower my interest rate my Bank of America Visa card. The only problem is I have a BofA Mastercard, not a Visa. She said that was her mistake and wanted me to confirm that the card number started with the number 5. I said all Mastercards start with the number 5. I asked if they were from BofA and they said yes, but would not give me a call back number to confirm it. They kept asking for identity information which I refused to give until I got a call back number. She put on her supervisor who was just rude so I hung up. She called back from 253-236-2220 and asked why I hung up on her supervisor. I told her becuase he was rude and that I verified that the telephone number she was calling from was not a BofA number. Legit companies will give you a call back number to confirm they are who they say they are.
