My husband got a call from 702-726-9231 about his debit card being locked out and to press 1 to reactivate it. He immediately hung up and called it back. It was some lakeshore restaurant in Las Vegas. SCAM! Do not press 1.

I got a call a moment ago from this number telling me that my HSBC debit card is locked out. I press 1, and then it asked me to enter card number. I hanged up. It seems I did the right thing.

same message. pressed 1 when they called and it connected to something asking me if i wanted to re-activate my card, which i (obviously) declined. no indication was given that they know my card number. the message called itself "national credit union" or something to that effect, but i have no cards by any organization matching that name.

yeah I just got a voicemail from this # saying my debit card has been locked and they didn't say what bank they were. SCAM

Same thing, mysterious message about locking of unidentified credit card, with option to connect to person which was actually a computer fgenerated voice requesting a 16-digit number. A transparent scam. Also they called a cell phone number, which is supposed to be illegal for unsolicited calls, but since the whole thing is an obvious fraud with an apparrently forged caller ID, what would they care about that?

Just got the same scan call 7027269231 saying debit card is lock. Sounded like phishing so I hung up. Card the number on the back of my card and talked to the fraud dept. They confirmed it is a phishing scans

Just got a call from the same number 2145 hours on 11-19-11, I pressed the button to talk to someone in security, I got a bunch of sounds so I hung up.

What a joke, sadly someone will enter their card number and get ripped.  Just hang up!

Wtf is this? I called my bank immediately they said several customers have gotten same calls and can do nothing because they haven't done anything illegal YET! And they said it like that, they're watching!!
