Caller hung up when I answered the phone.

scam calls coming from 7029979999 (Nevada #) they hang up on you anytime you question them and if you press the # to disconnect then you let them know that you are really listening to them.

Called at noon and left prerecorded message about lowering interest rates. Said to press 3 to revoke from list or 1 to talk to someone. I just ignore these calls.

Called 4 times in two days.  Sometimes the number is different, but the message is identical, "This is Rachel calling from card holders services...."  I swear I have heard that message so many times I will go to the grave with it in my head.  If I ever come in contact with the jerk who is responsible for this, I will probably end up in jail for what I want to do to him/her.

They just called, didn't leave message.  Vegas area code?  Yeah.  Must be some scam

Just called.  Routed it to google voice where I can flag spam calls.  They the get a standard "This number is not longer in service..."

I always answer the phone so I can hear the recordings and press the right buttons to talk with someone. Yesterday, I got two calls (about 15mins apart) from these Dumb A**es.  THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!
Oh, and like being on the National Do Not Call list will really stop this...Think NOT!
The first call, I gave the guy a bunch of BS credit card numbers with BS amounts and Ninja Joe as my name.  I made up a long story about my name, Joe Ninja (bla..bla...bla...kick boxing...motorcycle rider..hired killer), he even laughed about some of it. After he check the name and the card numbers, he guy got really mad and said I must give them the real credit card numbers for their help, so I gave them some more BS credit card numbers. This really pissed him off and he finally hung up.
I figure it this way, waste all of their time with BS numbers and false names and they will finally stop calling you.    
The second call the lady only heard the name Joe Ninja (she laughed) then hung-up.
The Government and the police are NO HELP unless your calls are being traced because you have been threatened!  The police are the on people who can really trace these type of calls today...the spammers/scammers are using fake caller ID programs....so good luck catching them unless they happen to fall into a police trap/trace.

SO WHAT CAN YOU DO?  
All I can say is rather than getting really mad have fun with the calls...START OUT BY SAYING YOUR NAME is Ninja Joe or Joe Ninja or you make up some crazy name and post it on the forums, tell your story about the call on as many forms as possible and file a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry at  https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2  Lastly, call your phone company and ask for a credit for the call (Cell)  since you have asked to be removed from the callers call list and they still keep calling but are using a fake caller ID program.

Here is another way to get them good.  I love your response.  Keep a whistle next to the phone.  Go through the process and when you get a person on the phone, blow that whistle long and as hard as you can.  They almost never call back.  It works like a charm.  

And if you can leave a message.  Leave them so many messages it fills up their answering machine. My husband did that to one company and they never called again. It was a hoot.

Who are these scammers...why aren't they arrested.

Do it every time they call.

1. Never talk to any collection agency or debt help company over a telephone.
2. Never engage with them or admit who you are.
3. Always ask for everything in writing via mail.
4. Always respond to letters with a "FDCPA debt validation letter" sent via certified mail with return receipt.
5. Never lose hope. There's no money in heaven, you will be all right.

Looking for an emergency call....so I picked up.  It was ANOTHER number for CardHolder Services with my last chance to lower my credit rate

Got a voice mail wanting to lower my credit card rates. I never answer the phone unless I know who is calling. If it is important they will leave a message and I call them back.

Calls and hangs up if answering machine picks up. Rude.

I have received the same call from several numbers. It is always the same recorded message from Bridgette about lowering credit card interest rates, and this is my last chance to lower it. I have received "my last chance" for several months now. Caller ID has said Virginia, California, Nevada, Florida, Ashley Pride, and Robert Kennedy.

Calls to advise nothing wrong with your credit card, but can lower your rate.

A recording saying "This is Rachel from cardholder services..."  - called earlier today.  I hung up immediately.   The same number just called back again, I sent it to voicemail. They left a message saying "press 3 to discontinue receiving calls. press 1 to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rates now".    Next time they call, I am going to try the "Joe Ninja" trick someone else posted above - it sounds like fun.  I will try and waste as much of the operator's time as humanly possible.  If I could find out where they are located, I would go there and cut their phone lines.

It is sooo much fun to waste their time.  If they start with rude comments or foul language, tell them you like it and want more, big boy, just to see what happens.  You can always put the phone down until they hang up.

Good old "Rachel" again - worried about my credit card interest rate.  I can't seem to get rid of her even though I am on the no call list.  Definite scam.

I have been getting this call for about 2 weeks.  I have pressed 3, but they call back a couple of days later.  Tried to block it.. didn't work.  But now... I am turning in to SUPER NINJA JANE... The one with the made up credit card numbers.... 5007 5555 6969 9696
