I've gotten several calls from this number, including two today.  A message is never left.  I finally picked up the second call today and heard silence, so I assume it is some telemarketer.

These people say they are seeking donations for the Virginia police association. When I asked for an address to mail it in they lost interest real quick and said they would send me a letter telling me where to send the donation. I told them I was blind and did't have a credit card or debit card.

I just got a call from 703-239-6319 and the same number comes up in the area where the name belongs on the ID.  Said he was calling from the State Troopers something and ask how I was.  Told him that my husband just died and he continued to talk about teddy bears and children in accidents or that have lost someone in accidents.  He was babbling on and I am not sure if the bears were for kids or troopers or where they were coming from.  Told him again my husband just died and he ask for a smaller donation, told him NO again.  Truly my husband passed less than a week ago.  This is the 3rd time that I have gotten these calls in about 2 months but I don't have the prior numbers.  I am sure it is the same crap though and have told them not to call back.

Just a bunch of [***] pestering everyone.

They don't stop.  When I pick up the phone I don't say anything and they hang up.  Don't understand why something is not being done when we are on the Do Not Call List!  Doesn't seem to do much good.

They called me this morning with the same line.  My husband is a VA State Trooper and they hung up when I said; "My husband is a VSP, do you want ask him if he wants to donate!?"

Even when I'm at home, I'll just tell them I'm driving and shouldn't be talking on the cellphone. Supposedly, these are cops, so it's the perfect excuse to get them off the line, ending the call ASAP!

I just got a call from this number and there was no one there.

Who is it...   Hello!  no response... hung up...  my number is unlisted...is this by chance?

I called the number and got an auto answering saying it was the customer care line for the Va. State Firefighters Assoc.  I left a long series of clicking noises.   ok I was bored.

I won't donate anything to these guys using these tactics...

I got a call from this scammer on a holiday, Canadian Thanksgiving. The guy said he was a recording yet he was live. He attempted to get money out of me for the state police. Telling him I am on the DNC had no effect, I also told him I have written to the state police to take me off ALL lists wanting my service due to the fact they refused to investigate multiple felonies when I had proof. He said he did not care, my name popped up on the screen. Obviously the police ignore written requests, so I will NEVER help them in any way! He then said he did not call me at which point I hung up. The police will get an irate letter about this I will demand the letter I sent in about the felonies be investigated.

They called a couple times this evening without leaving a message so I checked this site.  Glad I did it seems to be a common issue.  No need to answer this number.

Caller said from Va State Police wanting donation.  Flat out said no and hung up. Called number back and it says it is the Fire and Rescue Office and to leave a mesage and they will get back within 24 hours.  NOPE!  Scammer!

Yeah, called my house 9 times... one day.... scared my parents into thinking I was dead... nice huh?

True scam call for sure!

They called me TWICE in one hour! They "claim" to be calling for the Va. State Troopers to support the families who lost a loved on in the line of duty. Don't get me wrong, I admire and will always be very thankful to ALL police officers for all that they do to protect us. I just can't afford to give any money.
I also have heard, (not sure if it's 100% true) but police officers DO NOT call asking for donations of any kind, same for the "fire fighters." They don't go around calling people and harassing citizens. They will hold some kind of other drive where we can talk to them and shake their hands.
I won't give money to those that call me and harass me, and they just don't seem to get it!
