I keep a referee whistle by the phone and as soon as they talk, I blow it as loud as possible.  I HATE these pricks.  If I could reach through the phone and rip their throat out, I would.  
I have asked to be removed, asked for manager, given fake info, and hit on them (VERY obscenely).  Nothing works, so I blow the whistle in their ears.  Then scream "F..k OFF!" And hang up on them.  At least, if they are going to harass me, I am going to get a LIL revenge.

At first I got a recorded msg. about lowering my credit card interest rates.  I stayed on the line for a live person, told them I was on the national do not call list and if they called me again, they would be reported to the FCC  (assuming they're in this country; if they're not, don't know what good reporting them would do).

the do not call registry is the worst joke in the world.  nothing helps these idiots from calling every day, including weekends.  phones suck.

Great idea about the whistle. Money's tight and we trying to play catch up and then these people call and call offering us  'credit help' get real!

The message offered to lower my interest rates.  Instead of immediiately hanging up, I decided to speak to a representative.  The person asked me if I have at least $3000 on a credit card (not Amer Express) and interest rates at least 10%.  She then asked me to verify my name and zipcode which SHE provided. I WONDER IF THEY ALSO HAVE MY ACCOUNT NUMBERS   I asked what card company she represented and she said "card services of America". I then requested that I not be called again.  This was at least my 20th call.
