Received call after 8:00 PM - not answered by me and no message left.

Just got a call from this number.  Did not answer and no message left.

I have received several calls from this number and others about letting them put in a free alarm system if i allow them to put a sign up. What they don't say is there's an installation fee and a monthly monitoring service fee. Not exactly free... Total scam. I read a paper they dropped in my mailbox as well. They use local contractors all around the country. I called and put my number on the do not call list. They should be fined and put out of business.  If you answer, which i don't now, it starts with the familiar FBI warning thing. And beware of strange area codes, could be a Caribbean scam that charges you $20 bucks an hour. For that reason if i don't know the number i don't answer. Decent people are becoming far and few it seems...

Total security system installation scam. The electronic message started out with "this is not a sales call", then used a scare tactict about rising crime in my area, and offering to install a security system at not cost. I waited for the service person, and asked "why does the message start out saying 'this is not a sales call' then make a sales pitch". She said "good day sir" and hung up. Period. That was it. She did not identify herself or her company.

Home security services are one of the most crooked businesses in the nation. They are worse than having no security system, because 99.999% of alarms are false and put to the bottom of the police response priorities. Ask me how I know.

Got a recorded message about security system installation, like the others but this was on my cell number. Thought cell phones are off-limits to telemarketers and I've had it registered with the FDNC Registry for a year anyway...
