My parents received a call today saying it was someone searching for me. They stated that they were a prosecuting attorney and something about jury duty. It was strange! I have never even been to North Carolina, let alone have anything to do with jury duty.

i got a call from 7043197254 saying that i had failed to appear in court. I hadnever been summened or recieved anything giving me a court date in the first place. and i had never been to north carolina in my life.

This is from the Attorney General's Office in NC. It was for failure to comply with a jury duty summons, in my home town. I suggest calling them to at least reduce the fine and avoid jail time.

Its a joke, don't worry. Call it back and listen to the end of the message.

my friend just got a call from this number, they called him looking for me saying that i was wanted for failure to appear in court. I have never lived anywhere North Carolina nor was i summomsed for jury duty, and i do not have any type of background.

I thought it was real! I was actually in tears! It is a joke!!!

LOL it is a joke......however I was wondering what kind of charges there are on your phone bill for calling that number!

It's a joke and a waste of time. All it did was piss me off because whoever forwarded it to me ended up waking my kid up only for me to find out it's some big joke. Well I'm not laughing.

I had the same text today and I send a message back to stop playing and go screw his Mother. It came from number 480 277 4341 telling you to call 704 319 7254. I know for sure I don't own a thing to any courthouse!

this is a total Joke - had me going for a minute but you have to listen to the entire message and get to option 3 - you may laugh if you're not mad by this time.

Got  a text from my brother in law to call this number 7043197254 because my name appeared in court for failure to appeal in court.

I called my sister and she looked up this number and this is a phone prank. I think more people should be aware of this prank so they don't get anxiety over thinking they have to go to court or being summoned.

mine came in the form of a text message. First thing i did was Google the number the used Google voice to call it. It just ringed no one answered.

The call is free, there are no charges to your phone bill.  It's from a company called HumorHotlines.com.  You can use one of their other numbers to prank the person that pranked you!

I just received the court house bull [***] text, I called the number 7043197254, and effectively it was just a joke guys !

Ita not funny at all.  I was about to go off on someone because I never received a notice for jury duty

My sister in law sent me a text saying someone call for you from this number 704-319-7254.  So, instantly, I looked the number up on google and found that it was a prank.  I knew no one would be calling her cellular phone for me.  So, the joke was on her.

STUPID JOKE

A friend of mine received a text from a friend of his stating that his name was on a list of failure to appear and instructed him to call 704-319-7254 within 24 hours. He was quite concerned because he has not received anything from the judicial system, nor has anyone been by his residence. My friend has never been in NC, nor any other state since he arrived here from another country to attend college. This is more evidence that this has to be a hoax.
