A good friend of mine (whom I know to be very scrupulous about legitimate debts) was on the phone when I arrived at his house, and he was obviously in "Panic Mode", talking to someone (later they called their firm "Legal Processing Solutions") who was demanding IMMEDIATE payment arrangements be made to clear a ~$1000 debt to "Payday Loans & More", or be sued in court.  They kept insisting that this "debt" was incurred in Jan. 2011, a year ago, and had his previous bank acct. #, asked for the FIRST 5 Digits of his SS# (sounds strange to me...), refused to give any details on the "loan", and demanded immediate payment.
My friend is disabled, and has been unemployed and suffering other "personal" setbacks in the last couple of years, and this was about to push him over the edge.
I advised him to call the BBB and promised to look up the phone # when I got home.
The BBB said it was a "scam" as soon as he gave the details, and I found this site when I Googled the #!!!

He probably would have "given it all up" if these sources  of info weren't available.   BRAVO!!!

Payday Loan collection scam

Received a call on an unlisted number with a message from Phillip Tucker special agent with Legal Processing Services phone number 704-464-0168 said it was concerning a legal matter restraining order or some BS, left an "affidavit number".  Person they left it for wasn't even in our household, but  the person had the same last name as our daughter so I googled the number and found out it was as I suspected, a scam. I treid to call the number given to give them a piece of my mind and I have now been on hold for at least 10 minutes. I doubt if I ever get a live body.

I received a call from this number stating that they would freeze my back accounts and any assets that I had if I didn't pay a certain dollar amount within 24 hrs...for an outstanding account from over 6 years ago. I  never received any documents/letters from Legal Processing Solutions and was completely unaware of who they were. I gave them my debit card information and was leery of the whole thing. So that day I informed my bank of the transaction and had them process a fraudulent charge against this company and cancelled my debit card. Please don't fall victim to this company and don't let them scare you into giving any personal information! Some people in this world are just awful!

I received a voicemail this morning from a Cindy Moore, special investigator with Legal Processing Solutions.  When I called, I got a Mr. Chris Clark.  He said that I had a debt out there from Loan.com.....not aware that I had anything outstanding.  When he told me the date it was from October 12th, 2011.  I know for a fact that I had nothing out there from then.  He said they tried contacting me and gave me an old address that I have lived at in a few years, but a forwarding address was left.  He said I had 2 options to pay, either $627.11 up front, or 6 payments of $209.00 each month or proceed with it going to court.  I asked for paperwork to be sent to my current address.  Then he said that he saw a 3rd option of payment for $157.27 for 8 months.  I asked how long ago was this supposed loan taken out, all I got was him hanging up on me.  So, now I'm waiting for paperwork.  We'll see if they actually send me anything.  3-5 business days is how long it should take.  Scammers are so full of it.  If I have to, I will get my attorney involved.

These guys are starting to piss me off.  First a "private investigator" called to tell me that someone filed a lawsuit against me.  The phone number was a private number.  Then she gave me a number that I can call to find out more detail about.  I suspect the number company that she had me call is the same company she worked for.  She's just trying to act like a private investigator.  The i called the number and the guy somehow had the last four digits of my ssn and also my address.  He claimed that he filed a restraining order against me so that I can't have access to my bank account.  Then I told him that what he was doing was illegal and that I filed a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.  He got irate and hung up.

Received a call from "Sutton" who said they were trying to clear up a legal matter concerning a restraining order that someone was trying to file against me. They left a message. I attempted to call them back and the message was saying it was Legal Processing solutions. Never did talk to anyone.

So these people are ruthless! My phone number is unlisted
But my family members are not.... They are calling everyone that is
Related to me. They have to be stopped!!  Call your BBB and do it fast!

this number just called me 7044640168--"legal processing" steve foster-- something about a restraining order-- i asked them not to call me--this is a scam and a way to try and get money,,, i will forward this to the state attorney general and the bbb--

I received a call from a lady named Melissa Code stating I was going to be sued and also a restraining order against me I am glad I checked out this phone number before I called them back thanks for all the info will file a complain with the BBB

These people call my home , my work my parents . How do we get them to stop, This is a scam correct?

Guy named David Murry called and left a massage on my phone . said he was a Special Investigator from legal system  and left some numbers for me to call back and that some one has filed a restraining order they also called in the morning and that time they told me that some company was suing me .
 Dont they get I am not falling for their dump scam .

If you are getting calls from 813-217-5283 and 704-464- 0168 . They are from different state but the same company ( United Legal System). They are a scam and we should report them . I went FTC and filed the report . FTC also have where you can register for getting your phone number off the telemarketing and people like this, calling list. I feel sorry for those who have fallen in their traps, Lets stop this from happening again . I got the same kind of calls last year too so these poeple have been around for some time , lucky I recognized it right way . If you go to FTC's website and file the complain it will help others from falling into this trap .

This is a scam - pure & simple. If you've ever filled out a loan application online, that unfortunately is where they get their information. I was harassed at work by these people. The thing is I've got NO outstanding debts. I have gone thru my credit reports & files to clear out any debts two years ago. And have not apply for so much as a store creditcard since. I ask them if they have a legit claim to mail me the paperwork for my lawyer to look at. It never happens.

Please don't be fooled. You have rights even if you owe money. An NO court is going to sue you without 1st mailing you a copy of the lawsuit & then if no reply they'll serve you papers. They will not call you to take payments over the phone. They have to have notarized documents signed in person.

I hope this helps someone out there to not get cheated by these creeps.

Thanks DK! I just today got a call from this company something about a restraining order that someone has put against me. Then when you call back they say it's something else. I know I have monthly debts as does anyone but they truly did scare me. I am going to report to my local BBB.

This company is callng my elderly mother on a daily basis threaten to put me in jail. My Mother is so upset, she had to be taken to the hospital and is now on bed rest per her doctor. the thing is, i loive in Washington, DC and she lives in North Carolina.
My neighbors and job and friends has been called and messaged left with them for me to call them as well. They keep calling one of my neighbors although they keep telling them, they sont ususally have contact we me as we work differnet hours, but they still keep calling.

I would love to sue these people,  "Legal Processing Solution" for harrassment. I am looking into doing this. And the thing is, this is NOT my bill. I DO NOT owe this bill at all !

I received a call from this number on 3/15/12 at several different location.  Leaving messages stating that he was a Special Investigator (Mark Douglas) and that I needed to contact them within 24 to 48 hrs or they were going to suponea me to court. This man called my job harassing my co-workers and we are not allowed to receive personal calls unless it is extreme emergency.  They went as far as looking up people with the same last name and leaving threatening messages with them for me. I was so upset by these calls my blood pressure was elevated and had to go the ER.

Whoever this company is should be a shame of themselves getting people so upset by there scams. Everyone on here should report the situation to BBB before they really scam someone out of there hard earned money. STOP trying to get over on people get a life.

now they are calling from another number which comes up unkown but they told me that i need to contact this number to stop action because someone called and said that some one was filing a complaint against me and that i need to contact this number above.  . I called this number 707-464-7897 and i keep getting a voice mail with some man voice on it. I then ask her for the number to reach them to give to my attorney she gave me another number 704-464-0164 which is not a working number.

dont send them any money its a scam they are lying they are trying to get your money call all money institutions that you may owe and find out who their collections companies are before you send any money because once they have your money you cant get back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
