I have received at least 50 unwanted phone messages from this number in the last couple of months with the only message stating "this is not a solicitation call". I have a private/unlisted number with my number on the DO NOT CALL LIST; whoever this company is they are in violation of obtaining and using my number.

They called asking for my 90 yr old grandmother (I happened to be in her old house when the phone rang).  The caller would only give her name as Ms. Smith and that she needed to speak with my grandmother about a "business matter" (would not give any further details even when I said I could speak on my grandmother's behalf).  After googling, that number is listed on merchantcircle.com as New Concepts out of Concord, NC.  Other search results say it could be a collections agency.  From my experience, collections agencies will give you more details, as their purpose is to actually collect.  I suspect it's some type of fraud.

These people would not tell me who they were or what they wanted.They asked for me or my mother who has been dead for two years. I know that I do Not owe them money ,I am debt free.They refused to tell me what they wanted unless I gave them More Information about myself.I refused and they said they would keep calling me until I gave them the Info. If this continues I will be forced to go to their office in Concord N.C and deal with this in person.It will be very UGLY for them. LEAVE ME ALONE OR PAY THE COST OF MY WRATH.

This mo fo named mr bowls from this number called my mom's phone that is in my name. He was calling for my brother but would give no reason for calling. If he calls my momma's phone again I'ma go down to concord and tear him a new [***].

The reason they cannot give out information is because of the privacy laws.  You wouldn't want them telling your business or your family member's business to anyone would you?  If your relative would give you permission to speak with them they will tell you all about why they are calling.

I got a message saying my first, middle initial, and last names and that I needed to call a Mr Thompson. I have no idea who these people are and have no idea why they are calling me. I just reciently moved out of the Charlotte/Concord, NC area and at first thought this was someone calling about a job application I had submitted, but if that was the case they would have given reason for the call, and the person sounded rude in his tone. I don't like to get messages on my phone to call someone and they not give details as to why they are calling. That's a little suspicious to me. I have worked in the telemarketing industry for many years doing a variety of jobs, from collections, to sales, and customer service and anytime i called someone I had to identify who i was, what company I worked for, and most importantly, the reason for the call. And all this was done if I spoke to the person, or left a message.

Since you just moved out of charlotte nc they are probably calling about your duke energy final electric bill.  people dont realize that duke does a final reading on the meter after you move out. i suggest you call duke or call nci back and take care of your final bill.

I used to work for this company, until fired because I would not drive in a snow storm. Don is correct-this company collects pass due bills for Duke Power. The calls are placed from an automatic dialer which is why you will receive so many calls. Also up until the moment you answer the call the person on the other end doesn't know anything about you, which is why it always seems there is a pause on the line.

number called me 6 times back to back then finally left a voice message for someone else concerning  a license  suspension

Someone from this number called my parents' house asking for me. She said it was about an auto accident investigation.  I haven't been in an auto accident in nearly 4 years and it was closed a couple of months after the accident.   Seems a bit sketchy.
