I received a call from (704) 831-6513, who asked me to verify my name, then said BEEP-BEEP and hung up.  If this is a nonprofit, a very very inappropriate call.
Next one goes to the FTC specifically addressing the "no call" policy.

This number has come up on my caller id plenty of times. Finally answered when they called. It was a man who said he was with Hope House and they help battered women and children? Informed me they would be in my area on a specific day, did I have anything to donate such as clothes, small appliances or toys. Not sure if they are legit or not.

I being receiving phone calls from 704-831-6513.  They are the Nspire team, I am more than willing to donate to any legitimate organization that is helping those in need.  What bothers me is that Nspire is using another agency name, and I know we should be aware that bogus charities may use names that mimic those of well-known organizations. Why they need to do this if they are a legitimate org or are they not?  The Hope House Transitional Home has the below info posted in their website: www.http://www.hopehousefoundation.org

If you are being solicited for clothing by an agency calling itself Hope House it is NOT US! We are aware of such calls being placed, apparently by Nspire Outreach, an agency out of Georgia.  We are informed that they say that they are calling on behalf of Hope House in Charlotte. We are not aware that any such entity exists, but are certain that these calls are not being made by anyone associated with Hope House Foundation, Inc.

This agency is NOT associated with or affiliated with Hope House in Huntersville, or the Hope House Foundation in any way.   We receive complaints about calls from "Hope House" and its solicitation methods frequently.  We DO NOT solicit monetary or clothing donations by telephone. EVER. We have been in contact with Nspire's Director, Gregg Kennard, and were told they would explain who they are but due to the amount of complaints we continue to receive, we are not confident this has occurred.

this number claiming to be Hope house calls consistently. Usually hangs up after I pick up the phone. What's up?

There is a Hope house that the Nigerian Scammers are using as a front for donations in Ghana, Africa.  I would beware of this group. It called me yesterday.

Anyone who calls me to solicit anything, gets nothing. I have charities I give to and I do nothing for anyone else.

This number has called us 20x a month for the last year and a half. We finally had to buy a new phone system that blocks calls to stop the insanity.  I look at my call block log and see they still call monthly, 2-4 times a day for a week straight at a time.

This number calls us at least once a day over the past few weeks, and the caller ID simply says "Hope."  I finally answered the phone, and they asked for a Mrs. Ward.  I explained that they had the wrong number, take us off your list, you guys call here daily.  They said okay.  Then today, lo and behold, same thing.  Asked for Mrs. Ward.  I have no idea what Hope House/Hope whatever is calling, but at this point, it's become an FTC violation because we have asked for our number to be removed, yet they still call.  

Just a few weeks ago, an organization also called Hope came through our neighborhood with pink bags asking for donations.  All the local news agencies said it was a scam.  The bags claimed to be from an Atlanta organization.  We live 5 hours from Atlanta.

These ppl are calling me single day.  I am sick to death of it.  They hang up on me.  I called back and when I discovered that they are asking for donations for charity, clothing? I was furious. I want you to never call me again.  I left my name and number today, correlate it to this name. Do NOT ever call me again. You have taken me from work, caused me to have to stop what I am doing repeatedly, sometimes multiple times, so you can hang up.  If you are paying these ppl for the number of dials they are doing, fire them. They are running a game on you.  I am so sick of you.  My H.O.P.E. is that you go away and leave me alone.

I do not know who you are but I can say to you that no legitimate org will call and harass ppl as these ppl are doing. I would not give them an old can of chick peas, if that gives you an idea how much they have bothered and annoyed me.  So, if this "Greg" is real, he needs to find another line now, he has worn this scam out and no one is going to give him anything at all.  We are DONE with it. If you are him, move on dude.  I am filing with the AG, and hope that this gets shut down.  It has hurt the so called cause, not helped.

very annoying beeping call while I am working.  If this is the nspire people or whatever there were several very unflattering local news broadcasts about them.  

I keep getting these phone calls frequently from this number and it is from HOPE.  The call always comes in early morning
and I do not answer, but it is very disturbing.  

Their is also a group in Ghana that tries to get people to send merchandise to a hope house in Ghana.  The merchandise is bought with stolen credit card numbers.  My step daughter, a grown women made the mistake of getting mixed up with them.  We caught on to her before she shipped the stuff and made her return all of it to walmart.  It started with romance scam and turned into a remailing scam.  look out!

I called it back. A lady tried to get me to donate clothes.I declined, and called back again to get an answering machine, I left a message for them to NOT call my number agian, and if they did I would report them. Hope appeared on my caller ID

"HOPE" on the Caller ID. When I answered and said "hello" I heard a "click". I called back to get my number taken off their list but it just rang and went to a voicemail. It said "The mail box belonging to 'Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep' is full". They are posing as HOPE from Charlotte, NC but they are not affiliated with them in ANY WAY!
