Beth with CRI - cliams to be handling "personal business of extreme importance" to get in touch with office manager immediately - what a crock!  Trying to sell credit card merchant services.

I got a call on my phone number (that I've only had since October of last year) which asked me to call them back. Apparently the woman who had this phone number before me incurred tons of debt that she was unable to repay. Probably bc her kid is disabled, I've been getting TONS of calls for her actually, soat this point I know most things about her life. Her name is Shirley Long, and she lives in either Daleville, AL or Enterprise, al.  her kid is constantly missing school, which I would encourage someone at the disability board to look into. Some of her less desirable acquaintances harassed me on my son's birthday on February 1st. I'm just about sick of this and I can tell you lady, that if you don't update your contacts, I'm going to embarrass you to a degree you can't even begin to possibly imagine. now, that being said I understand that these people are a nuisance. I called them back and recorded the conversation which I would encourage everyone else to do as well. That way they can't harass you because they know that it's outside of the law. Now, Alabama is one of those states where you can record a phone conversation without informing the other party, but I would say that you probably should just so that if they try and threaten you you have some kind of a record. If they do, take the recording to the police department and file report for harassment. There's this app called Call X. Install it. Call them. Watch hilarity ensue. I refuse to be harassed about bills that are not mine, debts that are not mine, and a life that is not mine. These people will continue to bother you and call you and call your family and all your friends on it to oblivion until they are forcibly stopped. The only way to make this happen is by letting them know that they can't freely threaten people or bother people without consequences. the woman I just spoke to gotten extreme earful. Don't let these people run over you. You have rights, there are laws that bind them, and you don't have to tolerate it. I honestly believe the law needs to be in place to punish the specific employees who place these calls. There should be no kind of shielding by the company whatsoever. Then maybe people would think twice before they take a job like this

I got several calls from this number , like three years ago they star calling me about debt to pay for something that i did not use ; i am no going to pay for something they do not send me any info about , i did not sign  any lease for the eternity to anyone !, but they still annoying me and friend of mine with questions, my first time when i answered some supervisor told  me that they have right to put myself in court or collection , so if they have right just due , thats was my answer at that time. But after three long years they still doing every another days or weeks.

They have been calling my house for about a year or maybe longer, but they never leave a message. One day I was @ home when they called they said they were looking for Fred Andrews that lived at 5419 Stephen F Austin, the same street that I live on and wanted me to deliver a message to him. Told them that address is an RV Park and it is on East Stephen F Austin and I do not know him. They assured me that they would not call me anymore and that my number is not in their system. I have had 4 calls already this week. I called them this morning and told them I was going to file harassment charges on them.

How about today my neighbor calls me and says she's been contacted by this woman and they were looking for me??? a) I don't know my neighbor well enough for ANYONE to call her for any reason and b) I have no idea who TENNI/TEENIE WILSON is (which is who they said was calling). I have no idea what this is in reference to.

THIS LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED TO ME TOO!! It was my neighbor 2 doors down and I've never met him.

Wonderful thing about phones these days.. Blocked the number!! I've gotten voicemails from this lady and she never says what is so extremely important in the message, who she is or where she is from so no thank you ma'am!

CRI collections agency. They somehow got ahold of a neighbor two doors down from me. I don't know those neighbors - never met them.

Says “This is Rita. Call me right away. It’s very important”. Then leaves number 706-736-6746 to return call. Research finds this is a credit collection company.  Our credit is A1 so figure is some scam.

Apparently, Rita is still at it.  I had a vm message asking for someone who is not at my phone number to call her at (706) 736-6746 right away about an extremely important matter.  She did not state what the matter was or where she was calling from (caller ID said "CRI").

I kept receiving a voicemail from a woman who told my husband to call her. Never stated what they want or who they were. Then, our neighbor, who we do not know and he doesn't know us, brings a note to the house and said a lady named Rita came by and said for us to call her. Now, this neighbor and I have never said two words and he wasn't sure if we were the right people. That's how close we are to our neighbors(I stay in my lane and so do my neighbors..we are not in each other's business). However, I called the number, was connected to Rita and found out she is with a collection agency in Augusta GA. Yes, it is a bill we owe. My husband has been going through cancer treatments and the bills are steady rolling in and this one is on the list like all the others. So I do owe it and am going to take care of it. But I don't appreciate my neighbors, who are not going to give them any money or who is not listed as someone to receive personal information about my husband, being dragged into our affairs. We don't know them and they don't know us and they should not be harassed. If you have my address, then you should have sent something to me or come to my home, not theirs(he said a lady named Rita came to his home). And I am not going to even go through them. I am going to go to the Drs office and see if I can pay them what I owe and leave out this 3rd party. I have never had this happen before.

I've gotten the same message 4 times now. "hi David! It's me, Penny! Please call back ASAP. It's very important!'

I blocked them today.

I got a call with them claiming I owe money on something I’ve never heard of!

They did the same thing to me. I’m in a rural area and know no one out here.  Seems to me that they would be violating personal information by calling other people. Even if we did owe a debt they should call!

If they are discussing your debt with someone else they are violating Federal collection laws.  This is an extortion tactic used by criminals to harass, embarrass, and panic you into paying them.

Looks like they are located in Atlanta, GA. World's #2 capital for criminals pretending to be debt collectors.  Their website looks like a 2 year old drew on a wall and that's what they used for their home page.

Have never received a call from this company to my personal number, today they decided to call my work number asking for me and leaving a message for me to call back ASAP as it was very important. I work in a hospital and they somehow found the number for my specific unit. I have no missed bills and no debt other than student loans which are paid on monthly. Already filed a complaint with the BBB, federal trade commissions, and local police department. Next step is a lawyer and harassment charges.
