Constantly calling, no one on the line when I say "hello". Really, really unpleasant.
I quit answering.

I believe this is from SolarCity, in Santa Rosa.  They install rooftop solar cells.

After a very long pause, someone came on the phone...they were soliciting roof solar panels.  I told them I live in a townhouse and the rules won't allow...they quickly said thanks and then good-bye; but I am still getting phone calls from them...

See the information posted by Dave about 707-200-7673.  It's the same people.  He provides a name, address, and phone number of these clowns - Hot Solar Inc.   If everyone starts calling them and complaining, they may get the message.  There are federal laws against these kinds of calls.

They call at least 4 times per day every day of the week. When I finally answer to give them hell, there's silence on the other side and then they hang up. Once there were voices in the background so I tried to tell them it was a business line and to stop calling and they hung up on me. This is terrorism!!!

This same company, under multiple numbers, has called more than 300x total  Twice a day, 3 to 4x per week. Fling complaints using their various numbers on the "do not call" website does no good. Filing FCC complaint forms does no good. Asking to be placed on their "do not call" list does no good. Blocking their Caller ID number does no good.  Tracing their calls using a phone company's "Caller Trace" service does no good.

To the people here saying "be nice to them, they are just trying to make a living and do their jobs": these people are criminals and work for a blatantly criminal enterprise that regularly, continually and whole-heartedly violates the law and attempts to steal your money and identity..  Would you "be nice" to your mugger or a robber in your home?  They deserve any and all scorn or abuse that can be heaped upon them which will, hopefully, one day, cause them to choose a different line of work.

To quote Kyle Reese in "The Terminator" movie::
"Listen, and understand. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead."

I received numerous calls from this number even on weekends.  When I answered and said "Hello", there was no response.  I'm blocking future calls from this number.

Kyle (post) is right - nothing stops these guys.  The bad news?  They have multiple numbers and you can only block so many, at least with my carrier. The one time they answered I asked them to put me on the 'do not call' list and the guy became rude and persisted, saying "don't you want to hear about our product?"  NO - I DON'T!

So, fight them with a dose of their own medicine!  Loud whistles or piercing screams are nice.  Or, just don't hang up and go about your business, tying up their line for awhile.  I just hang up without saying anything or let machine answer--- they NEVER leave a message.  Got a few minutes?  Mess with them, and think of a creative but bogus entity to answer with, like "Smith's Funeral Home".

Two times a day every day.  No body there.   And nothing can be done to stop this madness.  Have received 12 calls a day from various citys   its terrible
