Call w/ recorded messg. threatening legal action re: IRS , called # & this agent green gives case # His badge # says criminal charges have been filed due to back taxes , irs investigation of taxes filed over last 5 yrs. , says notices have been mailed to me(I'm in louisiana  & says charges filed in Calif.) Funny thing they had my correct phone # &  address. When I told him I had not filed in last 10 yrs due to disability , a disconnect. Called bk. no answer , waited an hour called bk , same guy told me they would erase phone # wrong guy , hung up. Something smells & it ain't wood burning, going to call the FBI ,report the # just for the heck.........................................................DO NOT GIVE THIS NUMBER ANY INFORMATION , JUST DEMAND WHAT THEY HAVE......SEE IF THIS 'AGENT GREEN' IS A ONE CON OPERATION

I called back from a different line and they answered as the Investigations Department of the IRS.  When I said that the number did not appear online anywhere as an IRS number, and I asked how they got my number and if they could provide any verification they hung up.  Definitely NOT the IRS and definitely NOT how they would act posed that question.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING!!!

voicemail left by a computerized female voice that said this call was regarding a tax fraud against my name and ignoring the message would be an intentional attempt to avoid an initial appearance before a judge or grand jury for a federal criminal offense. before this matter goes to federal claims court, kindly call back.

ABSOLUTELY A SCAM!!!!  First received a message stating the IRS is pressing charges against me for felony tax evasion and not returning the call will result in arrest!  I called back and was harassed by an "IRS investigations agent" about a felony offense and court date.  They said I only needed to pay 2,082.63 to avoid going to court.  I knew something was fishy so I hung up... I was still a little shaken though so I contacted the IRS immediately. Of course, no such charges and I am in good standing.  BEWARE!!!!  and don't let them bully you.

Got a blank call.  When I called back I got a officer Williamson from Investigations Department. I did not bother talking further. This not the first time I got such calls.
