- Minnesota| 2 repliesScam caller about Windows Security, selling fake warranty.
- Kim Lovejoythey are also using this number in conjunction with Team Viewer a legitimate company (from Germany) but they ARE NOT associated with team viewer at all. They are calling saying that there is a problem with your computer and that the team viewer software will take care of it. Team viewer is FREE for personal use and they are trying to get your credit card information.
- Caller: Windows Server Dept
- AlanScam- Received a call saying they were calling from Windows server Dept and that my computer was sending out suspicious information and that they were concerned. They even gave me the number 707 681 5111 to verify they were legit. Called the number and they did answer. They asked me to type in teamviewer.com on my intenet browser. I stopped and contacted MS direct. They informed me it was a scam, and not to give them any info.

- Karla LewarsI received a call from someone saying they were the network for "Windows", however, no affililation with Microsoft. They asked me to load teamveiwer and give them access and a password to show me the "problems" we have on our computer. I continually questionned why they were doing this and they said they were obligated to tell customers who have windows about these problems. I had this computer for years. It started to sound very strange to me so I asked for a number and name to call back, which she provided. Then researched and found out it is a scam. I am concerned that I may have given access to my computer with that codes..I immediately shut down computer but after reluctantly giving the access code.
- Caller: "Windows"
- merry replies to Minnesotaits not fake .
its to good - AllenReceived a call on my CELL phone from this number 11-12-13 but did NOT answer it. I just looked up this phone
number on Google and found out by reading these blogs here that it IS A BIG SCAM that they are running ! I've received calls like this before and told them that "there is NOTHING wrong with my computer and that it's not even ON, you damn fools" !
I also told them NOT to call me ever again and GET LOST" !!! Those people even spoke in some 'foreign language',
which also clued me in that this call IS a SCAM and NOT to fall for any of this !!! I'd also like to know HOW some 'foreign
speaking person or COUNTRY' can FIND OUT that MY computer is even ON, here in the USA ??? DON'T you EVER FALL
for this crap !!! - carolyn replies to Minnesotamy dad was scammed using the following phone number: 707-681-5111. my dad was under the impression it was toshiba calling, but when i convinced him he might be getting scammed, they said they were from mr. tech guru. the phone number is not linked to that "company's" website, when i called their number at 1-877-209-1248, they were shady and when pressed they said they would look into it and call me back. i googled that number and found that number to be linked to multiple scams as well. the website mrtechguru.com is a fake front to make this scam look legitimate.
- laura thompsonBottom line is, big companies like Vista/Windows WILL NOT be calling you, me or anyone other customer. It's not policy to call customers. You have a computer problem, you call THEM. It's as simple as that. There are so many of these dishonest, scumbag websites, I would like to wipe them off the earth. After I lay them out from kicking their [***] for a while. Cannot comprehend the sicknesses these kinds of people bring.
- Caller: mr. technician computer from california vista for windows
- Rep#RR1015I keep getting a call from this number 707-681-5111. The rep said she was from Microsoft and her rep # is RR1015, She also said her name was Christine Matthews, The also stated my computer, due to having many viruses, has now started to give their servers problems. It sure seems like a scam, oh by the way, angela that posted on this site oct. 2013, is probably in with this scam. Go back and read her post, it is broken up and compete sentences aren't form. It sounds like the people that were talking to me on the phone, broken English and sentences not being completed. Also, read her last two lines, she said she gets free service, but the best part is that she is only charged when the work is complete. Now does that make sense to you??
