I got an email from a guy wanting to buy a PS3 controller, and to ship it to California. Seems kinda weird to me. Address he used, 1937 Hunter Point Road, Upper Lake CA, 95485. Email he used, brian.brian@outlook.com

He is a scammer. Contacted me asking for me to ship a Camera to California (same address as the users above have reported).

I let him know I only took PayPal, in full, up front, and he sent me a bogus payment e-mail disguised as "PayPal Customer Service."

Tried to buy my Sony PS3. He asked if I could mail it to him, he would pay shipping. Said I would only accept paypal and from verified buyers only. He requested an invoice which I billed him and then I received a fake paypal email saying that the money is on hold and will be credited to my account once I provide tracking number. It was not a genuine paypal email. The fake paypal email included the below info:

In hindsight it was kind of obvious this was a fruad since he never once asked specific questions about what I was selling him (it was a modified PS3), nor did he ever mention the the PS3, just used the generic "item" term. Plus he was insistent that I provide him tracking number and kept on pressing for me to ship it. And not once did he seem worried that I would scam his money...too trusting to seem legit!

Well the guy or girl now has a new phone number 304-986-5474, tie scammer send me a bogus PayPal letter too on 11/25/2012 attempting to get me send out a Samsung Galaxy S 3 I am selling. used the name and address below.

Decided to sell a item from my Craigslist post I was ganna recived my money via PayPal an never got it an i shipped my item. Person claims to be a Brian Murray or Laurena Archiga from California this is a scam I found out after PayPal told me so please do not answer or call or text this number

same here, he tried to buy my ipad and asked me to ship it to the same address, i told him i wont ship you the ipad. but i can text it to you and i texted the letters I<P<A<D

I have been contact by this guy Brian M. and from the beginning had the suspicion he was a fraud. when i told him he had to pay through pay pal and I have to be able to cash my money before i sent the item (which would mean he has to trust ME and my rules) he said he was ok with that. Then I decided to search his info up and found this. I have a very acute olfactory sense for [***] like this. I am sending him this link so he can read what we all think about him. Not that he might not know. Unfortunately, most likely just changes his  name and starts scamming again. I'm sorry for those of you who sent your items. You should make a police report. Even if it leads to nothing. At least make his life harder and help the rest of us avoid being scammed as well..

This guy tried to scam me out of a camera today...used the same tactics as all other have stated. Same address and all. I immediately reported the incident to paypal. HIs paypal confirmation looked so real. I'm so glad that I sent it to the spoof@paypal.com. They immediately replied it was fraudulant. This guy is a creep. Goes by Brian Murray 1937 Hunter Point Road, Upper Lake, CA 95485...emails all from a Sanni Sodiq! BEWARE!!!! I'd like to punch this guy in the face.

This jack wagon replied to a post on Peoria's Craigslist for my 2 phones.  Didn't try to talk me down.  Just asked if I would be willing to ship it to....drum roll please....Brian Murray 1937 Hunter Point Road, Upper Lake, CA 95485!!  I know...we are all shocked.  Thankfully I didn't get too far into the transaction before I figured I ought to look him up on google, which brought me hear.  The initial email was from Sanni Sodiq at sodiqsanni23@gmail.com Sorry to anyone who actually sent their items to him.  I am REALLY disappointed, as this is my first transaction on Craigslist.  I only became suspicious after his PayPal invoice was sent and he didn't reply.  2 hours later, clickity-clack on my keyboard and BOOM! My item DIDN'T sell like I thought it had.  Oh well.  At least I am lucky to still have my merchandise and be a bit wiser.  Hope they nail the sorry S.O.B!

also contacted by email soddiqsanni23@gmail (sanni sodiq) on 1/9/13 regarding a camera i had listed on craigslist. asked if i'd be willing to ship to california and to email him back and let him know if i could text him (huh?). said that i would after paypal payment, etc., etc., and then he responded with the same address (1937 hunter point) and name (brian murray) that everyone already mentioned. fortunately, this page turned up before the transaction went further. sellers beware.

How come no one called the police or get the law enforcements involved to have them arrested?

Just got contacted by the same guy. Thought it was fishy right away that he wanted me to ship my item to CA when I live in Omaha. Deleted the email right away! Glad you posted this just so I could confirm it is indeed a scam!

I am selling a camera on Craigslist and was contacted at 6:20am today by this character. He claims to be Sanni Sodiq and is buying the camera for his friend, Brian Murray, "Thats my name and Brian is the person i'm buying the item for ..my boss .." I asked him for his email address and he shared the following;  sodiqsanni23@gmail.com.

This character is pretty slick so keep your wits about you when dealing with him/her.

He is now going by Mark Douse with an additional address in 1422 38th Ave Oakland, Ca.  He's asked me to ship a camera to either address.  Idiot.
