Company name is municipal collection services inc.  They are on the law firm Edelman and Combs hit-list of TCPA violators for making illegal calls to cell phones with an automatic dialer.  If it was a robodialer, you just hit the jackpot as there are heavy fines for doing this, and the fine is paid to you as the one violated.

Several messages left by a recording on my cell phone.

I got a call from these people saying they were looking for my niece's husband whom I have no communications with. They called my home number in which none of my family has my home number. I only got it for emergency needs for my daughter who has a cell phone anyway. I don’t understand how they got this number for him and when I called they were very rude to me. All I ask is how did they get this number for this person out of all people in my family and the lady got real rude and threaten me saying I need to let it go or she will give me a peace of her mind and tell me how she felt. I barely have anything to do with my niece let alone her husband. I have not lived in IL in over 7 years, had a few numbers since then and only had this home number not even a year yet.

I received a call on my cell from this number regarding a parking ticket from Worth.  I have never heard or Worth, IL nor have a car.  I told them they have the wrong guy.  The woman then told me to quit lying as they know I am the right guy.  I was then told that they were going to tow my F$%)#ing car if I did not pay them $500 by Friday.  Whoever the right guy is, I hope you read this because this [***]  at MSI has got it in for you.

Received a call from 708-613-2062 stating I ran a red light and I owe $125.00. Beware, the guy said he was from Lemont Police Dept. and wanted information from me.

received call on my cell phone.  Message said it was the Chicago Hgts police and I needed to call immediately.  Went online and found CH PD number.  They guys are a fraud!!!!!

Received a call from them stating the my daughter owes City of Hanover Park money.  Could not produce the documentation.  Told them I was recording the call - they hung up

Keep getting a recorded message that leaves this number as the call back number.  It comes up as "unavailable" on the caller ID and the woman simply says it's a call concerning a village or town in your area and asks you to hit "1" to speak to an agent.  I never do.  Then it says if it's not a convenient time please call 708-613-2062.  Which I don't do, either.  Whoever they are, even if they were legit, if they can't even give us our own names and a specific reason for calling, I don't call back.

I received a call for my step son from this number. When asked what it was regarding I was given a rude comment. I told them that my step son does not live here. The next day I called and asked again what this was regarding and was told that they could not tell me. I told them if it was important that I could contact him. The lady was ranting at me, I hung up.

Stop calling my home

Received a call from "Desiree" accusing me of owing tickets to Harvey and Calumet Park.  I live in the north suburbs and have never been to either place.  I commonly get calls from collectors as I have a common last name, so I am used to just telling them it is not me and that is the end of it.  This lady accused me of lying, told me "All you people lie" which I assumed was referring to my race, and then threatened to boot my car.  If this company is real, I certainly hope the police they are supposedly working for know what a bunch of racist lyers they are.

They just called me, called them back when I got out of the shower just to get a automated message. They also left a automated message on my voice mail. I have no clue who they are

Report a debt on my credit file as a RETAIL Debt.  Stated I have an OPEN ACCOUNT with them.  My opposing question is how can a collection company classify a unlawful unabiding moving traffic ticket as a (RETAIL ACCOUNT).  Is this or is this not against the Law in the State of Illinois.

You are correct that municipal debts are not classified as "consumer" debts, but that does not mean you do not have to pay.  Municipal Collection Services Inc has been diciplined in the past by the Illinois Dept of Financial and Professional Reg for falsely claiming to be a law firm.  Look them up in the License Lookup section of dept website.  Very shady.

Do a Google search for MCSI CEO fraud.  Looks like this guy has some explaining to do.

Got a call saying that I owed money to Blue Island.  I knew I paid the tickets two years ago but could not prove it.  They called me a liar and told me that they would boot my car unless I paid at least $600.  I paid the money, then contacted my bank to search out my original cancelled checks.  Sure enough, I paid the tickets twice!  I contacted MCSI to provide them with proof that I had paid and request they return my $600.  They never returned the money and will not return my calls.  The Blue Island police department was notified of the problem, to which BI looked up the tickets and somehow confirmed I had never paid.  The PD printed a screen for me to confirm the values, and it came from "Municipal Systems Inc"  I looked them up.  What do you know, Municipal Systems Inc and Municipal Collection Services Inc have the same address and CEO!!!  The police use MSI's software to determine the accuracy of MCSI's data.  I am totally screwed.  Check out www.mcsicollections.com and www.violations.com.  I need to contact the States Attorney...

Can't beat Illinois politics!!!  I found your link between MSI aqnd MCSI very interesting and very crooked!..Aren't there federal laws in place to protect the privacy of data held by collection agencies?  How can MSI /MCSI be one in the same?
