This is a scam from ARC - Account Recovery Corp . . . they were trying to get us to pay for an old hydro bill that was from a tenant in the place that we live (we built a new house) - this was over 5 years ago

709 numbers are scammer

I have no any billing with them, but still getting calls

709 is an areacode from Newfoundland, Canada.  It's not a scam to receive a call from a 709 number.

well its something they have called me ^ yrears for someone who dont even live here

Told them for 6 years to put on do not call list they calling for someone who don't even live here n they ignore that fact n call every day..

This is a valid debt collection company but like most debt collectors they resort to unpleasant tactics. A very annoying thing is that their computer would call me at times when their office is closed... so you call them back and there is no one to answer the call.  That in itself should be made illegal. Whether or not they have valid information from the company that initiated the debt collection action is a whole other issue.

ARC keeps calling me all the time and its never for me but they want someone to pay there bills.

I get the calls too. They are very rude. When I tell them that I'm the cleaning lady and who they're are looking for isn't home they call me a liar. I told him if he hadn't called me a liar and wasn't being rude I would've taken a message but not now. I said bye and hung up. Yes while I'm there I'm to answer phone as well as clean.

Remember guys, if its a cell phone you can just add it to the block list or reject list!
