I received a call from 713-219-7180. They said they were from Verizon Wireless. I was not able to verify this information. This was at 8:00 p.m. on a Sunday night. When I called the toll free Verizon number, they are closed till Monday.

I got a call from this number, but they claimed to be from AllTel. They were "calling regarding my account". I have never had an account with them, so I'm guessing this is some kind of scam number.

I was on the phone with a verizon representative and to check if I could receive incoming calls, that's the number they used for me. Maybe someone misheard or missaid your number when they told the representative and they called you instead.

I just got a call from 713-219-7180 and they hung up on my voicemail. Sounds like a scam to me!

I just got a call at 7:30 am from this number.  It was a woman who called, and she seemed surprised that I answered.  She verified my phone number, thanked me, then hung up.  I guess now that she has confirmed my number, I'll be getting mail and calls that I don't want.  Sounds like a SCAM.

I'm with verizon wireless.  I got a call from this number. I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.

cynthia with verizon wireless...and it was legit, the info she was telling me was some things I had talked to them about last week and she was following up.

Its not a scam I just got done having a few conference calls between that number and the mngr of my local corporate verizon store

This is a number Verizon calls from to verify your phone is working.
I had a technical problem with our new phone service (2 line family plan) and called Verizon Technical support regarding the phones. They reprogrammed the first phone and got it working so I could go on a business trip.
Early the next morning the technician called me from this number (7132197180) and asked to finish reprogramming the second phone.
They are calling just to check that your phone is working, sometimes it may be an automated call which may be why you didn't get a voice-mail, or answer.
