Gentleman identified himself as Jack Kelly.  No other information provided.

Identified as Jack Wilson and said he was calling for donation for Deputy Sherrif Union. Insists on coming to office and giving stickers and info on Union. I think this is just a trick. Maybe warrant collection

Left a message saying his name was Jack Kelly.  I called him back at the number he left, which was 713-263-8781.  A lady answered the phone "HPPU".  I believe this is for the Houston Police Patrolman's Union or something like that.  He was asking for donations for the family of fallen Houston Police officers.

Man called ideintified himself as Allen Davis from Houston Police Officers Union...denied, when asked, if this call was solicitating for donations to HPU. Said he only had a couple of questions for my boss. I did NOT pass this information on to my employer..these people do this a lot...This happened several years ago and when I called back (to a different Houston Police Union number) they wanted to know if we supported peace officers, the families of peace officers...cut them off and said we don't give donations out like that though we support peace officers. The number he called me from is 713-263-8781 and not the 713-263-8307 number just fyi!
I have no idea if this man is doing the same thing the previous man did from the same organization but I suspect that it is the same method and for the same thing.

Very similar story...  a man called from 713 263 8781, identified himself as Jack Kelly and stated that no one could be of service to him other than the business owner.  Upon further inquiry, the gentleman stated that he was with the Houston Police Department...

How sad...  One would think that an organization such as the one that he represents would have a certain level of integrity.

Same thing as the last post.  This lady called, said her name was Shirley Smith and was with the HPOU- had a civil matter to discuss with the owner.

This entire thing is a scam. I was told that this is regarding a personal matter, they needed to speak with my employer. I asked what were they selling and was told no one is coming out to arrest anyone. I informed them not to call our office anymore or we would have to press charges for harrassment (they call about 4 times a week).. How sad our officers are being used by such bad people for such a good and needed cause... :(

Man from Houston Police called and said "well you know about the 100 club, well we are like them"  Then he wanted to send someone out to our home.  He asked if we would be giving $550 or $750!!!  
What happened to 25 or 50?  This is very suspicious and I doubt it goes to any good cause.  I will gladly donate to someone who doesn't strong arm...using HPD and come to your home for 550 or 750!  
He knew my husband was a doctor when he called!

These calls are getting out of control!!!  Of course when they first called, he said he was w/ the police and had to speak w/ the doctor about a personal matter, so I get the doctor and man was she hot when she got on the phone just to be asked for a donation!! These people don't give up even after she told them do not call my office anymore!!!!!  They stop calling for a while, but it doesn't last long they have started again and they are even getting down right RUDE!!!! My calls this week are coming from 713 263 8307 and its funny you call that number back and it just rings!!!!!! Maybe we should get Akins Army, Wayne D (from 13) to call them up.

Just received the same Jack Kelly call who wanted the doctor to call him back at 713-263-8781 to ask a few personal questions.  He has called our office before, so we know not to respond.

Got the same call and they wanted to come to my business to pick up a business card. Sounds like some sort of scam.

Got similar call from 713-263-7481 from "Allen Davis" saying he was Houston Police Officer.  They are asking for donations.  I have donated in the past and they send someone to office to pick up check and to give some stickers and they also pick up a few business cards to allegedly print in some sort of service guide for police officers.  I believe it is a scam for money.

I received a rude message to call back "BILL WARD at 713-263-8781.... BILL WARD". Nothing else was said. It wasn't warm, polite, or inviting, nor did the man say what his call was pertaining to.

If this is an arm of HPD looking to get donations, they have about as much tact as the cockroach cops that sit at the foot of bridges and write tickets for people going 41 in a 35 as they go DOWN the back side of the bridge. Really, guys? Are you that hard up for money?  I thought the motto "protect and SERVE" applied to police. Based on the riduclous urban speed traps around Housotn, and now this anonymous phone harassment, the latter term is definitely not warranted. I've grown sick of the Houston Police department.

I got one of these calls, July 13, 2012, identified himself as Bill Ward, very authoritative dictating I call him back.  I am a doctor, he says "doctor (my name), call me back at 713-263-8781"  I felt uncomfortable with the tone and manner and felt something was amiss.

I've recieved calls from them since our business was opened five years ago.  They change numbers occassionally after too many call blocks are placed on their number.  This has NOTHING to do with HPD at all.  It is a scam, trying get your money.  If you ask for a copy of their 501.c.3 for non profit organizations, they either take your fax number and never send it, or they hang up.  They are a bunch of scoundrels who try to scare you into donating.  So far, these are th numbers we've been called by recently.

Same thing. they call to my office and ask for the owner. Since they don't have the name of the "owner" I already know is nothing important or is a scam. The number I got the call from is 713-263-7606. and the person is Shirley Smith. She says is from the HPD in an authoritarian voice.. whatever.., like I don't know is a scam...

Earl Ward of Texas State Police called our office this morning asking for the names of the company owners; this organization formed in 1870 and was dissolved by order of the legislature in 1873, so it's a miracle that there are survivors from only a few years after the Civil War! What a hoax and a complete waste of time. It is a complete disappointment to have the HPD represented by such fools.

I had a phone call from (713) 263-8781; her name was Shelly Smith calling from the Police Officer's Union. She didn't say why she was calling but insisted on speaking with the owner. She sounded extremely nervous and out of breath; the phone call seemed very weird and out of the ordinary from typical donation phone calls (If that's what this phone call was for).

I got a call today her name was "Pamela" want to talk to the owner, obviously I said  he was unavailable she left a call back number 713 696 5203 but she called from 713 263 7481, finally she said it was from State union Police.

This Pam keeps on calling every day now since September. You would think that no one calling her back or answering her call would give her a clue that no one wants to speak with her. As far as I know the Police get a salary so I don't see why I have to donate any money to them.   I don't get any donations for doing my job so why should they. And if it is to help the family of a fallen officer this is usually published in the paper or indicated in a news program and they give a bank account where we can donate money.  Does anyone really know who administers the money? How is it distributed?  I am a charitable person, I just know that I won't be helping the police when they sometimes fail to do their job. I just saw in the news how man reports go unfollwoed and how sometimes they are not even filing reports.  The Houston Police needs to improve themselves and I dont' think this will happy by my company donating any money.
