Calls a few times a day and when you call back the number isnt in service

I'm also getting random calls from this number.  They have been calling collect for the past week a few times a day.  I'm definitely not accepting charges.

It seems like it is a correctional facility; although it says the number is from Houston, that could just be how the call is routed. It seems like the message says that the call is from "caswell" (which is in NC) or "Tazewell" which is in VA. Either way, I'm not accepting it either. I'm trying to hear the name more clearly so I can call the prison and see if they can stop the calls. They occur several times daily. It really is obnoxious.

one call after another went on a few weeks and all the sudden it stoped now it has started again already 3 times with in the hour today it is like a collect call from a correctional facility, only thing is my cell phone will not let the name finish before it cuts off.

I just got a call from this number as well.  Have y'all found a way to stop the calls?

This number has been calling me for about 2 weeks. It will call my cell number 3 to 4 times babck to back. It does this a couple times a day. It also calls late at night. The other night I did hear something about Global but it cut off before I could finish hearing it.I am so tired of it. I do not have anyone that has my number that would be calling collect. I have put my number on the Do Not call list. I hope this will correct it. When I put it on there it said it would take about a month to go into effect.

I have been getting the same call 4 and 5 times a day. I have reported it to the authorities. It is really gets on your nerves after awhile. They say that their name is David but he says it softly. And that it is collect from prison. Beware! I'm on to you who ever you are!!!

They Wont stop Calling me and it's on My Cell Phone!!

this is the second time i've received a call from this number. i haven't given my number out so I have no idea who the person is. probably from whoever had my phone before hand... i guess. but its annoying it does ask about the global tel link when u do answer but i've since then blocked the number and it doesn't even ring when it calls. so yay m

I have received 2 calls so far.  I cannot receive collect calls but they still called back 2 min. later after first try.

These are collect calls from inmates in various prisons.  An inmate must have your number or be calling a wrong number.  DO NOT accept unless someone you know is in prison and they are trying to call you. The company, GTL, gives options for blocking the calls, I don't know how well that works.

got a call from this number saying this line is not auth to accept calls . i blocked it from my phone

Who is calling from 713-581-8050? I am getting these calls several times a day. Does anyone know who this is and where they are calling from? I can't call the number back, it says it is disconnected or not accepting calls at this time.

Google has a free service that will stop the annoying calls, called Google Voice. It gives you an alternate phone number that you can set up so all your caller gets is the three-toned message that tells them your phone is no longer in service. This requires a computer to set up.
Another person who commented on Who Calls Me has given instructions.
Go onto the home page and look up this number: (253)246-8553, and look for the comment by phxazguy on page 1.

I keep getting calls from this number, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. Then they stop for a day or two and start back up again!!!! UUHHHGGGGG!!!!!

This number just called me. It said I could not accept collect calls on this phone, and then hung up. From what I looked up, it's some inmate facility number from Texas. The number is (713) 581-8050. Anyone else get a call like this????
