I never pick up unknown numbers. They didn't leave a message... I Googled it and it said it was the VA Hospital. Honestly, it freaked me out because I thought it was one of my family members. Thank God it wasn't. So thanks Mr. Stranger for scaring the living crap outta me right when I wake up in the morning. Way to start my day...

Lol, it's probably a girl calling to check on her boyfriends old phone numbers- that's what happened to me! lol

Calls at 5:40 am on a Sunday morning and hung up

Got a call, didn't answer it. 11:42 AM Tues.
Left no voicemail

1st call 2:40 am. It woke me up, caller I.D. was U.S. Gov. It went to the answering machine and was static followed by what sounded like someone pulling thier zipper up. Figured it was Security Guard that sat on thier phone. 2nd call was at 3:00 am. I answered it, It was a lady with a heavy Louisiana accent (drunk) asking for Joe. I said no, she hung up. Not even 5 minutes later she calls again. Now my wife & kids are awake. I asked her to stop calling that she woke the whole house. She apoligized and said she would stop. I am writing this because now I am wide awake and have to get up in 20 minutes.

This is the Houston Veteran's Medical Center.  They call from this number to contact Vets, usually to remind you of an appointment (Which is my case).

I got a call from this number while fishing, and I couldn't see who it was from, so I answered it on a whim. It really was the VA, calling to remind me of an appointment.

Who is this???????   Put em in jail...or maybe that's where they are calling from.   Stop already!!!

713-791-1414 VA called me to remind me of appointment 3 days in a roll. Then the next day, the same day of the appointment they called 4 more times. hahaha this number has it's own web page

recieve a call from female. she quitly hung-up on me sunday morning 10-23-11 10:54am.  Oh well. have a nice day whoever called. Happy Halloween.

Someone keeps calling my house from this number - comes up US Government. Very scary.

About a year ago I moved and got a new phone number, it must have belonged to some "dead beat" as "people (collection agencies)" keep calling and asking for Joe ..... Usually I don't answer the phone unless it's someone I know, anyway I got a call, which caller ID indicated was from the "US Government" so I answered, someone asked for this "dead beat", I said there was no one here by that name, I asked who was calling they said the VA Hospital. But I suspect it's some collection agency scam !!  They can change the "Caller ID" to whatever they want.

No, it really is the VA calling and not a bill collector.

Got 2 call today shows US Gov 713 791 1414.   No way the VA Hospital is calling this number.  Had it for over 20 years.   No message was left.  No one had or has an appointment.   It is not a bill collector for us as we don't owe anyone.  I must admit was concerned when saw US Gov.   These spamers know the tricks to fool us.    

This is the VA automated appointment reminder system. Had a missed call from this number but they left an automated message reminding me of my appointment with a local VA clinic.

This is the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX.  It was an automated appointment reminder, but I don't live in Houston (seriously doubt they're gonna fly me out in two days from Florida)!  I checked my caller ID and they've been calling today at 17 minute intervals since 12:42 p.m.  I followed the prompts to "reschedule/cancel" my appointment and it forwarded me to lala-land!

Called 2 times in a row. I didn't answer either and neither time left a message. Called at 10:26am and 10:29am.

Gotten a few calls from the number and it's a beeping noise.. called back and said the same about the hospital in Dallas. Left a voice mail of the beep noise also... what's up with it, is it going to do something to me or have any effect.. is someone recording me when I answer?

Got a voicemail with an extension, very garbled, marked as urgent, all i could understand was heart attack and "talk to somebody on the outside".said name was John, i don't know any John.
