Received a call today from this number at a previous employer threatening me, yelling and said he would place me in jail.  Heavy accent and I had to ask twice who the caller was, he said he was Brown. Said they were the Law Office of Federal Bank

On 5/18/09 I received a threatning phone call from a male with a heavy foreign accenct. Caller claimed to be Officer Brown from the Federal Investigation department. He stated he had a federal case against me and needed to verify my SSN. When I would not he called back and left a message on my voice mail stating that I would face great consequences at home and at work if I did not call him back
at 713-893-3869.

This number called an hour ago and asked for a Mr.Redfern. When I told him that no "Redfern" lives here, he got very angry and threatened to "pay me a visit". I am NOT happy!!

Contact the FTC Federal Trade Commission 1-877-FTC-HELP.  I filed a complaint there this morning and they said anyone else that has gotten the same type of call should call them as well.  They will give you a reference number and if they call back or continue to harrass you they can note that in the case file.  
Do not give this number any info.  Call FTC immediately!

A MAN CALLING HIMSELF "DOMINIC BLACK" CALLED ME EARLIER BOTH AT WORK AND AT MY CELL PHONE STATING THAT "HE IS WITH SIA HE HAS A FILE ON ME WITH MY SS#, MOTHERS NAME AND EVERYTHING THREATENING THAT GOD HELP ME IF I DONT RETURN HIS CALL"

My cousin received a call from a man with a heavy foreign accent saying his name is Jason Williams.  He asked if she knew me and asked if I still lived at my address?  He also said that I filed a complaint against her and that she could be visited at her home or job from a constable.  Before she hung up in his face, he told her only God can help her now.

Contact the FTC Federal Trade Commission 1-877-FTC-HELP.  I filed a complaint there this morning and they said anyone else that has gotten the same type of call should call them as well.  They will give you a reference number and if they call back or continue to harrass you they can note that in the case file.

I spoke with a Jason Williams and after demanding to speak with someone that spoke english, he transfered me to a Ron Collins at this number. He has my SS# my old address, my employer information. He gave me a bank account number that I have never had and told me I had better pay him 450.00 before it goes to court. But he would not tell me what court, called the FTC and reported him.

A person by the name of dominic black with a heavy accent stating he was from federal investigations and would be filing a case on me.He quoted my ss# and last known address to me. Asking me to pay $475.35 for a previous payday loan. I received a call from check recovery systems on 5-22-09 for the same payday loan and actually only owed 128.52. Do not give this company any information. They are a scam or a collection agency impersonating a law enforcement agency. I actually work in law enforment so I know.

I too just received a voice mail call at work from the same heavy accent; however, my caller's name was John Wilson. I have no idea who he is or how he got my work phone number. He spiced my call up by "requesting" if I did not return the call then my attorney should. My end of call threat was if he didn't hear from me or my attorney than the only thing he could do was wish me good luck. Called the number back and as he stumbled over the greeting I think he said Criminal Department of Investigation. Who are these morons!!!

I  also received a call from a trvis griffith and he almost did me but luckily i blocked my atm  card before  hecould of taken my money. I also went to the police dept and reported them. Don't give any information until you verify the company.

Pissed Off - I hope that you will do the following.  They did this to me about a week or so ago.  This is what I was told to do.  They will take it seriously they told me the more complaints about that number the better.

I received a call today, too from an Officer John Wilson from the Federal Investigation Department, saying I owed a payday loan from 2007, and that ??  I asked him several times to send me the debt information, and he refused, he wouldn't even say what company he represented.  So I put him on hold and when I got back on I told him I was recording the conversation.  He promptly hung up.  I just called the FTC, as well, and filed a complaint.

I got a call from mike jonhson (718-887-9929) a person with a heavy middle eastern accent saying he was from the Federal Investigation department he also called my employer stating he was from state farm insurance,he gave me all my previous info even SS # and that i had a lawsuit from Cash Advance a payday loan company.THIS GUY IS A SCAM the only thing you should do is contact 1-800-FTC-HELP they'll help you out.

I received a call from another number 646-328-3044 saying the same thing that I am reading above.  The caller said that he was officer Scott calling from the Deparment of Federal Investigation and a lawsuit has been filed against me for a payday loan from Cash Advance in the amount of $300, but now I owe $589 because I had no paid it back.  They had my SSN, address and stated if I didn't return his call there would be no one that could help me.  That they would send papers to the court of my state and i would be arrested and go to jail.  I asked when was this loan was suppose to have taken place and send me the papers and name of the company,and he got very angry and started yelling.  He has a very heavy foreign accent from the Middle East or India.  I also received a previous call from a female from that same number with the same accent, and she was saying the same thing but added that I need to have my attorney call her and I told her that I will and that I am going to file charges against her and she hung up on me.

So I had someone leave the same message, stating tht his name was officer eric scott, and there is or will be a lawsuit on my ssn number etc.. But what did you do to handle this? This is totally random for me.

I received an email  Nixon Brown stating that i have a warrant and he attached a copy of what looked like a  warrant . What should i do? 6828416205
