Was a recording warning me not to do a *72 or *1172.  Not sure what it was all about, but said something about the call costing me around $3+ for 1st minute and 0.26 for each additional minute.

Good luch with that.  I got the same pay phone call from Harris county jail 4x in a row late on a Friday afternoon.  713-265-9166 @ 8:39, 813-265-9300 @ 8:36 and 713-265-8206 @ 8:30.  All numbers to Harris county were closed for the weekend.  My local police department told me it was a scam call but did not know how to prevent it.  I called ATT National Fraud information Center 800-876-7060, Harris County Correctional Facility 800-984-8800, and correctional billing service 800-844-6591 @ www.corectionalbillingservices.com.  Lots of opportunities to help your 'special con' get access to phone priveledges but none to stop him from callin me.  One phone call said to put in the number I wanted to block OR allow access and when I put in the number, it did not tell me if I blocked it or ALLOWED ACCESS.  Crazy system.
