they call me all day long i believe is triad financial 8 calls from them in 1 day some were only a few minutes apart. i believe this is borderline harrassment

i think this was my friend calling me from jail....i didnt answer but the message was saying something about the call being prepaid and to press 1 to accept the call...I could hear the noise in the background like a payphone type sound. We will se if they call again

Why do these Corrections people allow prisoners to make these harassing calls?  It's bad enough they committed crime(s) aganst humanity.  Texas must have a very weak Justice System for innocent people and leans towards the criminals.

They left a message saying I had a collect call from Man Central Jail and I would have to call another phone number to set up a collect call advance account.

These calls are from actual inmates attempting to make collect calls.  If they are trying to reach you on a cell phone, you cannot receive collect calls, and therefore have to set up a prepaid phone account for them to reach you.  Also, the area code (713) is from Houston, but the inmate could be calling from an institution anywhere in the country.  The company that runs these prepaid accounts are just based in Houston.

call said it's from "a collect call from an inmate at denver colorado prison"...there was a name, something like "brian" but i couldn't tell. it was at 7pm. very disturbing.

I don't know anybody call me with this phone number, please don't call me again, I believe that someone made a mistake.

My man calls me from this number and I hate it cuz I wish I can talk to him I miss him...but wen I try to setup the accounts for my cell it tells me the credit card is declined and I've tried like 5!.....WTF!?.... They do work..driving me CrAzy!!

they are calling my phone often saying they are "Bowie county correctional facility."There is no such place.  thus is some kind kind of scheme. They ask for a credit card number.

New Collect Call Scam?
Call from 713 981 0098 reporting to be fielding a collect call, BUT to collect an account has to be set up -

" You must establish a new Advanced Pay Account with Los Angeles Countys New Automated Advanced Pay Service Provider - if you have an established account with a previous provider you will need to contact that company for a refund.  To set up a new advanced pay account and accept this call press 4.  For prepay accounting plans please contact accounting and customer service at 866 230 7761. To refuse this call, hang up."

Actually, the number is a provider of prison collect call services. It's legit as far as that goes. I haven't a clue as to what rates they charge, but I'll bet it's not cheap.  I have a family member that is in a jail somewhere and has tried to call using that.  I don't accept because of the cost.

I live in Florida and I got a call from this number. Thought it was a debt collector but now I'm not sure. Does anyone know the real answer? Who called from that number?
