They called but just hung up after 10 seconds. I told them to not call me again.

Ya, they just did the exact same thing to me, so creeped out

These people called and never said a word, but hung up after just a few seconds.  How do they get cell phone numbers?

Also missed the call. The number shows up on caller id as 714-276-2793 Anaheim, CA.

I don't answer calls I don't know and I also don't call them back if they don't leave a message. I am also on the registered Do No Call List and have been for years and up until now it has worked.

On a prepaid phone so don't answer #s I don't know.

Wish I could block everyone who is NOT in my contacts.

They just called, there was a silence for a bit, then said that they were calling me because I requested them to do so on a physician survey that I filled out.  

But I hadn't filled out a physician survey, and I NEVER give non-acquaintances my cellphone number.

Unfortunately, I was so angry, I missed the name of the company as I was hanging up on them.

I just called the number back (not from my own phone) - it's WN Physicians - some kind of physician placement company.
