I guess being on the "Do Not Call" list is not a detriment to some companies. Next call gets reported.

Call every 15 minutes today...beyond ridiculous

I just recieved a call from this number.  They asked me if I was who I am.  They knew my name.  I said 'yes' and then they hung up.  A little disturbing.

A complainer (on another site) said: "The caller is (Cellco Partnership DBA Verizon Wireless - CA). If you have service w/ Alltel or Verizon or had service. You are getting solicited by them."

I Started getting those calls two weeks ago. They keep calling almost every day and never leave a message....As such I'll never answer them...Let them keep calling--they'll get nowhere.

Out of being Annoyed, I finally answered them. They turned out to be calling on behalf of Bank of America--soliciting me with a number of offers!
I asked them to never call me again. I hope they'll stop.

If A (above complainer) is correct, then I guess it's a company being hired by others for solicitations.

They are calling to offer you a "benefit protection plan" on your credit card but they don't tell you which CC. All you have to do is when the person comes on the line, CUT THEM OFF and tell them your not interested and want your number to be removed from there list. If they keep calling then you can file a complaint but make sure you tell them your filing one, this will stop them from calling.

I received 15 calls from 714-380-5500 between 10/23/09 and 10/27/09. I finally called them and of course the never identified their company, but I made it very clear that they were not to call me anymore and that each call had been reported to donotcall.gov. Very annoying.

Get calls from this number 2 to 3 times a day. If no one answers they do not leave a message. If I answer they try to speak and I tell them not to call this number and hang up. They keep calling. Have reported the number to "donotcall.gov" for what it is worth.

Would like to know what company this is. Always calling and leaves no messages.

Says they are Bank of America~~who knows??? They sounded like speaking Engish
was difficult for them. Probably from Nigeria or India~~

I got a call from this number today. It sounded like it was coming from a BIG call center, judging from the chatter of other callers in the background.
Boiler room?

The guy did not know my actual last name. He had my first name, and the name of my county as my last name.  My county's name is about the same length as my last name, an \d begins and ends with the same letters as my last name. Goofy. He wouldn't tell me what he was trying to sell.

At worst, it was suspicious. At best, it was incompetent. It is gratifying when a scammer turns out to be an incompetent one. Doesn't that make him less dangerous? Ha ha.

I just a call from this number, caller ID shows california. I do not have interest to answer, and then google it to find this page

DO NOT ANSWER YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if they solicit a response and you reply "YES" you're granting permission to make a purchase. they're very clever, what happens is they record your the brief conversation and edit it into a sales pitch. so when you fight the charge they play the conversation back to you edited with you agreeing to purchase something.

Received a call from this number asking if we were interested in shipping for a sales convention. I told him, no, we'd already arranged shipping for the convention we are attending this year.  He guessed the name of the convention and demanded the name of the employee organizing our attendance.  I told him the person was unavailable and refused to provide a name but offered to take a message.  The male caller was one of the rudest I've ever talked to.  He got really nasty asking if I had the authority to make all the companies decisions.  The man had a middle eastern or Indian accent.  The number seems to belong to a California company called TranitAir Cargo.
