Just got a call today on my wife's cell phone.  I don't answer when I don't know the number

Me too.  I pressed "1", and told them to put me on their do not call list.  The representative refused, and said she had every right to keep calling me as much as they wanted.

Called my work blackberry; very annoying; how do we get them to stop?

Someone from this number called my cell phone today October 7,2010 at 11:10 am PST.  By the time I got to my cell phone, it had gone to voice mail, but there was no message left.  It's a California area code, but I don't know anyone in that state.  I'm sorry that I don't have more information.  I was hoping to get some here. :(

It is now October 8, 2010 at 11:10 am I also got a call from this 7144083640. I didnt answer. Lol

At work: checked my missed calls on lunch break and this one showed up.  These people are so annoying.  I know better than to try to get them to stop.  It's a waste of time.

Got call from this number, it was saying it's my last chance to reduce my APR, i pressed 1 for that then a representative talked, asked me if i am calling to reduce my APR,i was confused and said yes, and asked which credit card you from... she hung up!!!F##K

Yup that number just called me as well.  I didn't answer it.  and they didnt leave a message, guess it wasn't important.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone. Pressed 1 to speak with a represetative and got connected to "Tim". Asked what card he was calling from and he said he didn't represent a card but rather a company called "Card Services" that would negotiate with my credit card vendors to lower my interest rate. He said their fee was paid by the money that I would save by lowering my interest rate! WTF? He then started asking questions about my credit card debt and, when I wouldn't share my information, he said he couldn't help me and hung up. How do these crazy people get cell phone numbers?!

AND when I tried to call the number back, I got a "This number has been disconnected" message. Very, VERY shady! Who falls for this stuff?

Geez, they called me today when I was in a CLASS!!!  This shows my age, but do they care nope.  It's just like ever other 49759347 numbers that call and try to sell you something from California, but really they are based in India and what not, doing a big scam thing.  I know that cops have been looking into many of the other numbers, not sure if this one is on that list or not, but eh, they are coming out with so many that no one can keep up with it, including the cops.  It's just the same people, changing the area codes/numbers, I think.  They even call my home phone asking for my older sibling, that's when I just pick up and have fun with them.  I have already acted as if I would play along, get them happy, then hang up on them when they ask for info.  Tried selling them girl scout cookies in a little kids voice, which got me hung up.  Blarred music into the phone, scream-O and metal mind you, they might have gone deaf, and also the final straw was, they called yet again for my sibling who has been moved out of our house for well over four years, and I just ended up saying "She died" then hung up.  I find them so annoying, yet it's fun to mess with them for trying to scam me.
