i have recieved a phone call from this number saying they would come to my job and arrest me and i want it to stop

Rec'd a call from 714-482-3318 from a man (Chris Johnson) with a very thick Indian accent stating he was from the State Attorney Office of California in L.A. & that he was contacting me about several criminal offences against me.  I have never lived or dealt with anyone in California.  He first called my cell # & then several minutes later called my work number.  He requested that I call back (to the same number) & request to speak with Kevin Lloyd.  I said just hand the phone to Kevin now & I will speak with him--"Chris" refused.  I told him to either tell me what this was concerning to to mail the data to me.  He stated that if I did not call back to this number & speak with 'Kevin" that he would have to turn my file over to the prosecutor at which time I told him he would have to do whatever he needed to.
I called the State Attorney Office of California in L.A. & they informed me that neither of these individuals work for them.  I left the number & names of the individuals that were given to me over the phone with that office & got on line to check this number--It appears that this is a scam of smoe sort to extort money from people with phoney "criminal offenses" that need to be settled.
Watch out for these phonies!!!!!

I received several calls from someone at this number stating their name was Mr. Williams and he was a Paralegal.  He asked if my Criminal charges pending against me and that they required my immediate attention.  I needed to call the phone number that he called from 714-482-3318 ext 420 and speak with an attorney named Jevin Lloyd.  The original person that called me had a thick Indian accent and I tried to call the attorney numerous times but only got a voice mail from someone named Karen.  I did leave a message and I just received several more calls from the Mr. Williams man.  He knew where I worked and the phone number to my place of employment.  He called and left several messages on my voicemail that I have saved for future reference if needed.  When I received the final call today from Mr. Williams I did tell him that my friend is an attorney and I would have him check if there were pending charges on me otherise he needed to send me paperwork.  He said there would be no paperwork and I needed to calm down (I was talking in a normal voice the entire time) he then began to say that I didn't need to be so irate (still same tone of voice-normal speaking voice).  He told me I had lost my chance and that there would be charges filed against me because I didn't hang up with him at that moment to call Mr. Lloyd.

Just as some kind of reference:  I did apply for a title loan against my vehicle online a few weeks ago and that's when these calls started a few days later.  I did have to put all of the information into the application to apply.  I do believe that somehow that is how they got all of my information.

I am on the phone with them now. They are really doing the most. They told me I will see my paperwork in the morning when the police officer comes to my job to serve me and arrest me. This is just one big ass scam for those who try to make it and then you have [***] like this that try and get off on others. This is the 3rd call that I have received at my job this week.

they called my phone a couple times 2day...it is just a scam i have recieved these calls before an noone ever comes to my job or house to arrest me....these people need to be stopped...im so irrated with it

Same thing happened to me, I just recieved a call telling me to talk to Kevin. An Indian guy told me I have a warrent in California.

In the mighty name of Jesus, these scammers better stop. They will have to deal with God, only believe that God will put an end to this mess!!!

That stupid numbers just call me, say police is on the way to take me to jail, if I send money to him by western union everything will be  resolve, I told him I working in Orange County Jail. he hang up right away. Stupid Indian say he's name Chris Smith.

I just received a call from the number and I was told to call Kevin Lloyds at this number (714) 482-3318 because I have charges in california. I'm not from california.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone and I rejected the call because I didn't know the number, then I got a call at my work and the guy with an Indian accent said his name was Rocky (very rude cuz I didn't answer my cell) I explained that I don't answer number that I don't know. He than said that I needed to call some one name Chris Jackson right away or else I would have problems with the law. But they claimed someone was trying to sue me. I told them that I would call the cops and report them if they didn't give info and Rocky told me that I could call the FBI and I would be the one in trouble. So I called the number back and it goes straight to a voice mail of some lady named Karen. I then I checked on line to find out this number and all this popped up. Thanks to all who are reporting this.

I received a call from this [***] too and when I told him that my brother is a state cop and is investigating him before I send him any money he hung up on me. Jerk

I too had alot of phone calls to my cell and my work number this morning. He told me his name was Mark Smith? WTF! This guy is indian and he calls himself mark smith. I dont think so. This is one big scam to get money. He aint getting any from me! I applied for a credit card and i guess this is how he got my phone numbers. i hate crap like this. I hope he goes to jail soon!

I too just got a call from work. They are getting our information from when we apply for loans, credit ect. This is why I never do any of this crap online. The one time I do this idiot calls me. Does this scam really work for him?? I just find it hard to believe there are people stupid enough to send money over the phone for supposed "criminal charges" sounds completely fake. I knew right away that it was a scam.

My wife got a call from these guys this morning and I had to take the rest of the day off to deal with this.  She got a voicemail stating she needed to call Kevin Lloyd, she did, he berated her, swore at her and threatened her with jail over a loan we never took out.  We have been working with the local police department and the state's attorney's office.  I called this Kevin Lloyd and left a voice mail asking for the case number, the judge who signed the arrest warrant and what law firm they represented, but got no call back.

I got a call from this number three times today at my work place. The man that called me had a very thick Indian accent he said his name was Peter Morris. He told me he was from The States Attorney's office. He said there was a lawsuit against me and he wanted the name and number of my Attorney. I tried to get more info from him but he refused to tell me any more he said that i was going to have a police officer come to my work and serve me papers and arrest me and get thrown in Jail. I told the guy that my Father works for the County Police in my home town and i will figure out who he was and report him and he hung up and has not called back since.

I just received a call from the same number and as soon as he opened his mouth to say I was going to be arrested I screamed at him " this is a scam! Take your scam and shove it up your ass!" and hung up. He called me right back to say he had my address and was sending a police officer to my house and gave me some address I never lived at! I just kept calling him a scamming [***] as he kept talking and I hung up.   This company has called me several times and threatened me with going to jail but they never tell me what I have done. The guy had a very thick Indian accent but never gave his name because as soon as he started reading his script I cut him off immediately.

I just received a call from a "Mark Smith" with an Indian accent so thick, I had to have him repeat himself several times! Supposedly I have warrants out for my arrest and will be picked up if I do not call back Kevin Lloyd and get the matter resolved. Uhm, yeah, ok...can you say scam? I gave no info but he repeated back to me my social security number, so freecreditreport.com...here I come! When these idiots call, give no info out but get as much as you can, report it to your Attorney General and let it ride!

I got the same call, the same bogus information and before I even researched the number online I told him that its illegal to impersonate someone and he said may I know if you have an attorney? Ha! Apparently too many people know this is a scam. I applied for a payday loan & this is how they got my info, they buy the lists from those companies. How rediculous.
