This number is a computer scam. India accent, we are getting signals from your Dell...I hung up. They had the make, model and id tag info for my computer. My dell is no longer, so I knew they could not be getting anything from it.

The had lots of Dell info about me, my laptop id and service I got from them. It was very convincing.

They have all your info from Dell BUT THATS IT. Don't fall for their tricks. Its a scam.

Very persistent.  Red flags went up immediately.

Yes! They said most of all that then hung up.... When I called back they didn't know who I was, but kept insisting they were dell techs and tried to guide me to my computer, I asked him if I could call him back!!?  He did stutter a few times... So here I am cuz this just took place 3:15 pm eastern time. Same number called me. What to do???

just got a call... English was not their first language....  said they were from Dell and just received an email from me and then gave me my email address...  I told him I don't have a Dell, I got rid of that crap!

I just received a call exactly as you all have described. A man with an indian accent claiming to work for Dell had all of the information about a computer I owed about a year ago. He kept using my full name and asking to speak with me about my computer being hacked, but since that particular computer crashed last year I knew it was a scam. I kept asking him questions and giving him the run around until he got frustrated with me and hung up. My biggest concern is how he got all of my information!!

I just purchased a refurbished Dell laptop and added the service tag to my Dell account. The next day I received a call from 714-676-6138. I guy who I could not understand wanted access to my Dell laptop. I asked him what trouble ticket he was calling on because I haven't opened one. He rambled off something along with some detailed information about me. I told him to email me the trouble ticket number and I will follow up with Dell. No email was sent, so I decieded to google this number which lead me here. SCAM!

Scam . Hang up and block them.

Got the exact same story in the above string, when they called again( after 3 days in a row), I told them I wasn't falling for their scam. He chuckled and said the issue is my now my internet router. Told him to remove me from calling list. Beware, they try hard to be convincing, are patient, persistent and polite.....don't fall for it!
