Called and requested to speak with owner of our company.  His name was Peter, and said his company name was "Local Splash"...it sounded as if it may have been a telemarketing effort, although he hung up while on hold before the call went anywhere.

Got a call at 11:44 on 15 NOV 10....he asked if I was in the lawncare business (I used to be, but am no longer.)  I told him that I am not in lawncare anymore, so he asked what sort of business I'm in now.  I told him this is neither important, nor any of his business, at which point he laughed and sarcastically said, "Oh, so your business is not important.  That's interesting."  When I asked, "So you're going to be a smart a** now?"  he laughed again, and then stayed on the line for a few moments before promptly hanging up on me.

All of this is ignoring the fact that the number he called was our HOME PHONE NUMBER, and was never affiliated with the business.  These people are RIDICULOUS.

Left a 'no content' voice message on my cell.  Called yesterday and several times today with no message, just enough to get me to check my voicemail. GRRR!

Called today at 4:19 pm..When I answer the phone the person or machine on the other end did not answer, did not responded, so I put my phone on mute to see if they said anything.. Nothing happened..they hanged up the phone after 45 seconds.

It's an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) company. They scan the internet for companies and then try and sell you their services... "We noticed you are not on the front page of Google" etc.

F********g annoying, they do not give up.

FYI:This caller was not only rude but refused to identify, who he was, at first, and what company he represented. He stated he was with data collection services. He reluctantly stated his name was Chris. When I asked how can we help you, he argued, stating that we could not help him and that we lacked the skills. This guy was very strange to say the least.

These idiots keep calling at all hours. Tonight's call was after 8:00 pm however they have called as late as 3:00 am.

I don't recognize the number and therefore have not answered my cell.  They never leave a message, but call everyday.  I will not answer it and hopefully they will get the idea that I am not interested in whatever they are trying to sell.  Is the FCC or someone checking on this number and there business practices?  I am glad there are websites out there that I can look up phone numbers and see that they are scams.  Thank you people for writing and letting me know that this number is not worth answering.

Received a call from this number. He told me he was in the security business. Very rude. He was told we didn't want whatever he was selling. He waited a moment then hung up.

This number called my business asking for the owner and when I questioned who he was and what "local slash" was he hung up because I still wouldn't say if I was the owner or not...super annoying calls that are probably not even legit companies!

This number contacted us several times daily on our business line and most of the time the caller would just hang up and when we called back it went straight to voice mail. We finally got to talk to someone and yelled at them to quit calling because luckily I looked the number up and saw all these complaints. Thank you for this!

714-702-5794 - Local Splash - states they are an optimize web search for businesses.  I told them I wasn't interested in their services and asked to be taken off their call list.  Of course they still call, but never say anything when I answer the phone. I don't have caller ID, but I do have *69.  Once I answer,  I'll hang up if I don't get an immediate response.

Telemarketing company in the Orange County - San Diego area.  Low-level bottom-dwelling garbage scammer working from a cell phone.  Ignore.

They called and asked to speak to the owner.  He wasn't rude, told him the owner was busy and he said he would call back, never gave a company name, said his name was Jeff Loudon (sp?).

27-Feb-2012.  Forget person's name but identified as some 'data collection agency' on behalf of Google.  Tried to tell me that I have a 4.5 score on the front page of Google results page and he had approval to bump someone else that's on the same results page higher than me, in order to put in someone with a better overall business score.  He then proceeded to ask me information about my business that I wasn't willing to confirm.  He said, "Obviously, you don't understand this process."  I said, "You're right.  I never heard of Google doing such a thing, I handle my own SEO and quite frankly, trashing someone else on a page in order to put someone else up there is nonsense unless you're trying to sell me something.  In which case, I'm not interested.  He hung up.  I never would have answered this call due to an unknown number but I wasn't near the caller ID.

I am on a DO NOT CALL list.  Best thing to do, since this number is consistently used and identifying themselves with the same company name, is to contact the donotcall.gov site and report the # so this company has to pay a fine for breaking the law.  If you're on the list, they are not suppose to call you.

Local Spash- telemarketing my cell phone, wanting $169./month to "get you google listed".  I don't need Google- I have Yelp & Angie's List & the internet.

Extremely rude person from Local Splash. I just love how they try to sell you a listing on Google. I must be doing pretty well on my own if YOU were able to find me. What a bunch of idiots!
