Claims to be from Edison Electric company.  FYI, we don't even have an account with Edison but the person called and said we owe a balance and threatened to shut off our electricity if we didn't pay.  

I got hit by this today. Only $170 dollars but beware it's bogus. They had a lot of information that convinced me it was legit. I own a business so I was worried about not having power tomorrow when I opened. Be careful not to fall for this. It's a scam.

I'd didn't let them get to their scam line- just hung up on them.....but the creepy part is the guy called back harassing us- very bold...surprised in America this stuff goes unchecked by authorities. Guy had Arabic- Middle East accent. Beware- this is our America 2015. If you are reading this and deal in fraud prevention the number we are talking about is 714-975-6578.

Man by the name of David Kempt called and said that he was from Southern California Edison and we were late on a payment. He said that if we did not pay via a reload card from Albertson (super specific) by 7pm that we were scheduled for a shut off for tomorrow at 7am. I called SCE to verify this because I had actually seen something on ABC7 news a while back about a woman that something similar happened to her. SCE said this is an on going problem and they would file a police report. The guy keeps on calling back (and leaving voicemails) so I contacted our local police to make a report.

He called me today. and he say from Southern California Edison. today shut off 2PM.
and then i check the 714-975-6578  phone number google. he is  fraud.
