Received a call from this number today from this obviously Indian person claiming that they had seen that our Windows computer was sending out code or something (?).  Informed them that we don't have a Windows computer and that was that.  Anyway, I should have asked for the name of their company or something but didn't.  When I called the number back it didn't ring and eventually cut off.  Think this was a phishing scam or something.

This person keeps calling me daily for almost 2 weeks now - sometimes 2x a day and today the call came in at 6:15 AM - woke me up - I have refused to answer the phone because I was pretty sure it was a scam.  What good is being on the Do Not Call this if these types of calls keep happening??

Got the BS call today about Microsoft Windows errors.  He said we might cause harm to others with our thoughtless virus-ridden computer.  I hung-up before I told him we are an Apple family since 1994!

Got a call from this number from an Indian speaking male who said there is a problem with the Windows on my computer and I need to fix it.  I told him there is no problem and to take my number off his list and Do Not Call me again.  He said he can not remove my number and I hung up on him.  He had the nerve to call me right back and said that he was going to F--k me, I could not understand so I asked him to repeat it and he said it again so I ask if he was crazy and he said yes.  Then I put my boyfriend on the phone and the man hung up on him. I will be calling the FTC help number to report this.

Same story as everyone else. He called my home phone claiming his name was John and that I had a problem with my Windows computer that I was running at my home. I told him I wasn't running a computer at my home and he hung up. I remember his voice from two previous calls one on my cell phone and one at my other residence last year.  I am already on the do not call list and I'm not sure how to block this person. What a jerk.

Several calls over past month by males or females with East Indian accents and unlikely English names. Claim to be with Microsoft Internet Security or Windows Support Service. Tried to walk me through turning on Remote Access and got abusive when I point out that I'm not running Windows 8 and that they are running a scam.  They are using more than one phone number and I don't think they are worried about the National Do Not Call List.

My husband got a call from this number. Some Indian guy told him that he needed to register his computer. He told him it doesn't need it and not to call again. The guy said "why not" and my husband said "because I said so". Then the guy told my husband "fu*ck you" . My husband replied "yo momma" and hung up.

Just got a call from this number 716-200-4864. Man with India accent asked for me by name and that he was from Windows tech support.  I said " Windows Tech support?   How did you get my name and phone number? " He quickly hung up.  HE KNEW MY NAME.  And now reading some of the other comments, I see he knows registration numbers as well.  People, what ever you do, NEVER follow instructions to anyone over the phone with personal info or steps on a computer.  They have the technology to see into all your files once you do a few things they tell you to do on your PC.  Window, Mac, HP, and all the other computer and lap top making companies DO NOT CALL THEIR CUSTOMERS.  It's so sad there are so many that fall for this trick.  I got a call a few days ago, I didn't make note of the phone number, but same accent, same Windows tech support say they see that my computer was being compromised. I told him I didn't have a computer and he said I was lying because my phone number says that one connected to my line.  I just laughed at him and he hung up.  Stay safe everyone, it's a con's artist world we live in.

Phone number: 716-200-4864 is a landline located in Buffalo, New York. Its exchange 200 is managed by LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC. The number is currently on switch number BFLPNYBFDS0. Unidentified male caller with heavy, thick Indian accent, told me my computer had a virus. I lied, told him I had no computer. Then, he said there must be another computer in my house that was infected with a virus. Again, I lied and said there were NO computers in my house. He slammed the phone in my ear. Not only is he a fraudster, but he is rude and brash. I located the website for LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC which is a legit global-wide communications company. I also used its web-based contact form and sent the exact same message as above. It's entirely possible that LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC is unaware that one of their landlines is being used by a scammer, a fraudster.
