Called on the cell phone and said "you've won a trip".  Gave the name of Mexican Grand Travel and then tried to tell me that I'd registered my name in a contest and "you've won!"   BS!!!   I don't register for contests....

got a call from this number, claiming I won a vacation, could hardly understand him from India  I think..wouldn't take a
scam i'm sure,  wouldn't take no for a answer

I just received a call from this number claiming I'd won a free travel package from filling out a survey card, which I rarely if ever do.  All I had to do was go to their 'local office'

I decided to ride it out. I spoke to two different people, the first was a lady that had a very thick Spanish or Indian accent, and kept calling me 'dear',  The second was her 'manager', definitely an Indian accent.  I didn't catch their names, they were difficult to understand.

They couldn't tell me my name or address.  All very fishy.  My guess is a timeshare scam.

Did some online research, looks like the same thing going on from the same area code last year to people in Ontario.

I just received a call from this number only a few minutes ago. The man on the other line had a very thick Indian accent and he told me that I sent in a coupon into them and my "coupon had been selected for a prize." He proceeded to tell me to grab a pen and paper so that he could give me the information on my prize. I immediately recognized it as a scam, because I haven't used coupons regularly for a few years, now and I definitely would not have used a coupon online! I said that I wasn't able to grab pen and paper to which he replied that he would call back. I very quickly took control and said "Don't bother! Good bye!" And hung up before another word was uttered.

Same thing... Indian Accent.  Said something about a coupon I filled out.  Didn't let it get to the point where he told me about the prize!  I work at a university and my guess is that he got the phone numbers off of the web.  A co-worker was in my office when he called.  Immediately after I hung up, he called her cell!  Geezzz....

I got their call just now. Can hardly understand their Indian English. They would not accept any reason for letting them call back later. I am totally Confused until googled and found here.

Called my cell while u was busy at work. I didn't answer because I was busy. They didn't leave a message.

I assumed it was crap, and thankfully this site proved me right.

Received a call telling me I had won a trip (I think,  as I couldn't understand a word he said).  He had a very strong mid east accent and since he kept rambling, I just had to hang up.  Now that I think about it, I only give this number to doctors' offices or insurance companies.

Who the [***] is calling me?

Guy with very thick accent called to say I won a price and asked me to grab a pen and paper, I said I'm not available can you send me a e-mail instead knowing that he wouldn't have my e-mail because I never plays in contest. He said sure, and I hang up. Of course never received any e-mail. Lol it is clearly a scam!

Got a call from this guy a second a guy.. Indian Accent. I assumed it was a scam once he said.. Are you married? And do you have the same address as your partner. I said this is a scam and hung up.

Called me on a Sunday afternoon, I answered and they didn't which makes me think this is an autodialer which is illegal in the state of North Carolina.  Glad to see others have left their experiences.  I blocked them on my iPhone.

I live in NC and also received a call from this number on a Sunday afternoon.  They must be targeting NC numbers today.

I got a garbled call from this number.  Glad to know that it was not a customer.

Got a call about some sort of vacation package. They were very hard to understand. Said something about being associated with Walmart/Kmart. I told them if they were serious, they needed to send me something in the mail!

Called my cell yesterday.  I didn't answer,  now glad I didn't.  From others' reports, it sounds like a travel scam ruse, leading to ID theft.  Coincidentally, yesterday I received a "Travel Voucher" worth $1,341.00 in the mail.  The voucher showed Caribbean Cruise Lines' Logo in several places, but in fine print on the back of the "voucher" was a disclaimer that they were in no way affiliated with CCL, but that CCL was a major supplier of service.  It instructed me to call an 877 number to redeem my voucher.  How'd they get my cell #?  I am in Virginia.

I didn't answer it.  Thankfully.  After reading all the other posts here I probably would have ended the call

They are calling California today. They also have a 718 number. Travel scam.
