"Steve Martin" from an undisclosed business calling regarding an "action by us treasury that requires immediate attention" or else I will have to "face magistrate judge and federal court". Perhaps Mr. Martin should learn proper English before he tries to impersonate someone from the US government. The Treasury wouldn't be taking any action against anyone generally, that's another Department. Gotta love scammers.

"Steve Martin" called from US Dept of Treasury. Same exact thing as the above message. Scumbags.

I just got the same call 10 minutes ago, and then twice more 50 minutes ago. He called me around 6 times when I was visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday.

I searched a little further by reverse looking up the number, and it's from Xo New York Incorporated. It looks to be a global telecommunications group or something.

I also received the same call/voicemail.  When I called back from a Blocked number the same individual who left the message answers "Thank you for calling the US Department of Tresury, Legal Action Department.  It's definitely a scam.

Message from Steve Martin in regarding a action against me and I had better not ignore it and to call back giving me the number 716-279-6240.  I did call it back answered US Treasury but a different name but same guy stating his id number is 17123 asked if I was some ladies name and I said no gave him my name then he said he was sorry he had a wrong number then called again 10 minutes later with the same recorded message from Steve Martin.

Same call and person here just a lottle while ago.  Could barely understand him.  When i called back voice mail picked up and said the user 990 was unavailable and to leave a message.  Then it said mailbox was full and could not accept messages and hung up on me.

Same person called me to. But will not answer when I call back!!

Received a call from Steve Martin from US Treasury. When I called back, I spoke to Shawn Martin and he stated that if I didn't pay over $5000 to him for my 2010/2011 federal taxes owed, that I would get arrested in 10 minutes. His ID is 117086.

I received same type of call, caller with foreign accent, several times this morning (~every hour).  Leaves voicemail when phone isn't answered...very annoying!

Received the same message three times in a 2-hour timeframe.

Receive a call from this number a couple of times a day regarding a U.S. Treasury action.  Since I know I do not have any sort of action against me, this is as scam call.  

just got this call. flipped out and wrote the whole thing down. then looked on here cause it was busy when i called back, my guess would be that it wouldnt go busy tone theyd rather put you on hold. anchorage ak

Just received the same call as others before from "Steve Martin"  from U. S. Treasury.   Based on others experience did not call back.  Thank you for this site!

Just received a voice mail message from 716-279-6240 saying I need to contact them immediately.... similar to what everyone else indicates. I was immediately suspicious and called.  I talked to a lady I could barely understand and I could hear other telemarketers/scammers in the background.  I asked her to repeat the dept. name again and noticed she was intentionally slurred the Dept. name; I asked several times and still didn't understand what she was saying, "United ???? Security of Legal Affairs".  I asked her what she wanted and she said I was behind on my taxes.  I stopped her and told her I knew this was a scam.  She then used the "F word" and said it was a real department.  I then hung up.

So I have gotten several calls on my house phone and cell phone asking abut the same thing. Well I blocked my number and called them about 10 times and harassed them. I went through at least 5 different people and finally I got them to start spewing out from F*cking Americans this and that. Well I think they called the wrong person.

Received a message a ,threatening one at that from the United States treasury, in very broken English from this number 716-279-6240.  It was a recording ,supposedly from Steve Martin!!  Steve Martin with a Chinese accent !  These people aren't very bright ,lucky for us

A guy with an Indian accent calling himself Steve Martin left two messages on our answering machine claiming we needed to call back him immediately because we were wanted by  U.S. Treasury, and this was the government's second attempt to get in touch with us.  This is obviously a scam.  Thank goodness for voice mail.  I'm ignoring his phone calls and will obviously not call him back.
