Got a call from this number saying that they have a "complaint" against me in their office and that it is imperative that I call them back before it goes into the "legal" stage.  Does anyone know who this company is and what they want? Thanks!

This # keeps calling my house and leaving messages on my machine. This person they are looking for, does not live here! But they leave my address and the person social security # on the message with threats of taking the matter farther if they don't here from the person. Isn't it illegal  to leave a persons social security # on an answering machine?? I get these messages while I'm at work.

I kow, they sound very threatening and rude!!!!

I received a call from this agency that was for someone else. I called to have my number removed and they began demanding if I knew the person or not. I told them yes, I knew the person but did not have contact with them. They then demanded that I contact them and give them the message.And wanted me to write the information down. I explained to them I was driving and not able to write it, she told me "do you have an answering machine" I said yes mama and the information is there, When I asked who the company was and what this was in relationship to I was told a Pre litigation process,  And they abruptly hung up on me. When I called back I was told, They had nothing more to tell me. I attempted to explain all I wanted was to have the contact number removed from their records so I would not receive further calls. I again hung up on. I called again and  I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told there were none available.  I said that was fine I would then just call the BBB and file a report. A woman (the same woman) came on then and said How may I help you? as if she were another person. I said who am I speaking with? She said Gibson "G-I-B-S-O-N, I attempted to explain to her that I wanted my contact number removed and that I was not responsible to give an messages to anyone for that company. I was again hung up on. I wish to know where and how to report this company for inappropriate action.

 Their message left on my phone stated:
"This message is intended for ____ ______. This is Gibson from the Judgement Complaint Dept of PRG. There has been a complaint filed in my office naming you as a respondent. It is imperative that I speak with you in regards to this complaint while it is still in the investigative stage. I can be reached at 1-866-364-6516. When returning this call include file number ___. "

I just received a call from the same number saying I took out a online payday loan last year. Have they called you back with any further info? I was told to file a police report.

They actually have several different numbers they call from.   If you ask to speak with a supervisor,  usually Mr. Anthony will get on the line.  He is actually the husband.  They have had several filings against them.  I believe it is a man & a wife.  They have there number changed every so often.  This is bigger than a welfare scam.  I really hate to see how much they are paying for numerous lines.  This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!   Let's stop them!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a call from this number, calling back after I thought I got hung up on, they claim to be a group called PRG acting as legal councel on behave of cash.net they say that they will be filing brank fraud charges on my fiance for not paying back a online payday loan (which she never took out) and that it was such a nominal amount. I first spoke with a woman then a man, then the same woman using a different name. they immediately knew who I was the secound time I called in (caller ID) and said they would only talk to my fiance unless I could verify her last four of her social which they had and the last four of her old bank account she had before we moved  in together. I called back and kept interupting her and pointing out that California and federal law does not allow for criminal fillings for a defrauded loan and they said it was for Bank Fraud. I will be contacting Cash.net to inform them that their debt collectors are obviously fake. good luck everyone.

This number just call my cell phone and call my mother.  The woman name was Melissa and told her about some type of investigative case against me.  You better know they will be receiving a CEASE and DESIST Letter sent to them today.

they called my grandmother talking about check fraud and they are claming to be called prg. i called and no answer what can we do about this?

I got a call from this number and they left me a 877 number to call back and when I did it was a 1-800-dentist number, had nothing to do with a case number or anything.

I just got a voice message from this PRG... After reading this, (i Google EVERYTHING that doesn't make sense) i won't even waste my time calling back lol. Thanks for the stories!!!!! And if they call me back, I'll be just as rude as u all described, if not worse! They might quit the scam business after getting a piece of me! Lol

These people keep calling me and said I owed MycashNow some money.  I Checked with MyCashNow and they said my bill was paid and I didn't owe them anything.  They suggested I check with their own collection company Credit Depot and they said my bill was paid.  I paid my loan off on May 31, 2011, and they say I borrowed money on May 31 and didn't make any payments.  You cannot borrow money from a cash place on the same day you pay them off.  You have to wait several days before you can barrow again.  I gave all the phone numbers related to these people to MyCashNow and they told me not to answer them anymore,  So I am not answering their calls.
They just keep threatening me on my voice mail.  The numbers are 716-335-9947 and 877 799 9234.
I also have filed a complaint with the FCC.

"Mr Wright" called here from PRG Collections for a relative that has NEVER lived here.  He was an arrogant jerk & kept speaking over me.  I informed him that person has never lived here & do NOT call here again for him.  He said the relative gave our number as a contact number which is a blatant lie- just another low-life collection agency using skip tracing bothering people trying to find someone who didn't pay a bill...

It's obvious from the comments by others that PRG hires unprofessional jerks!

Miss brown from prg called and left a message and a file number but no one answers when returning the call

A message was left on my voice  mail from a woman purporting to be calling from the Legal department of PRG looking for one Robert XX. The tone and her usage of word were like a law Enforcement officer. She claimed that there were  various fraudulent claims against me in my jurisdiction and either myself or my Legal Council should contact her. The problem is that I have been out of the country for nearly 2 years. I am working for my company in another country. Nevertheless she advised me  on the voice mail that if i did not contact here within a specified time limit (which seh did not say)  Further action would be brought against me.
Indeed, I am not intimidated by these types of calls, but i  am sure that she is terrorising a lot of people. She needs to be stopped!

How did they get my number anyway? They left a message on my cell phone wanting me to give a message to a friend of mine that I havent spoken to for over a year at least. They said that she gave me as a referance and they are trying to clear up an identity fraud with her name and social security number. Yeah right! Someone please help and tell me what I am supposed to do to stop them. Do I call the FCC, the BBB or who? It most likely wont matter to them anyway but they shouldn't be able to contact me period. So if anyone has an idea of what to do please let me know.

We received phone call from this number 716-335-9947.  She said that her  name is Brenda Covent and was director of some fraud coalition, she also called twice stating the same name.  She was looking for my brother and sister-in-law, that my brother name and ss# was connected to a federal investigation; and my sister-in-law name was connected to a complaint in our county.  They had 24 hours to call and give a verbal response.  I called back and they said the office of PRG, and to have the reference number handy.  They gave and phone number to call back 1-877-799-9234.  I checked on this website, it seems to connected to others who said they won a ford explorer.

JUST GOT A CALL FROM CARMELLO AT PRG LOOKIN GFOR MY SISTER...STATING THE SAME AS OTHERS...ITS A PENDING LEGAL MATTER UNDER INVESTIGATION

I recieved alot of the same calls. I explained that I am filing bankcruptcy and she said it didnt matter. she insisted on me making payment arrangements and I told her I was broke. She said listen- these PEOPLE WILL GET THEIR MONEY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER
