Said they were with my electric company and my electric company wanted me to sign up with them to save money!!! Gtfo!!!!

Someone named jack called and pretended to be familiar with the family. when I inquired more he Claimed to be from Peco yet he didn't know who payed the electric bill. I waited 10 minutes and called the number back. I was on a hold for a couple minutes until I heard a click and was promptly hung up on. I believe these are scam artists fishing for information. Don't give it to them!

They are an Energy Consultant Team that finds the best supplier for your utility company based on your useage.

The called, don't remember who they identified themselves as, the number came up not avaiable, their address is Gold Street in Brooklyn. They claimed to be able to reduce both my Con Edison Electric and National Grid Gas bills. Apparently different taxes and delivery charges would be removed, plus a lower KWH rate. She was asking for all types of numbers on the bill, which I gave her (well, noyt exact numbers I made up the number I gave her), but when she asked for the account number, I said I am not giving it. She asked why, and I said that she called me, I don't know who she is. She then said - what could she do with the account number, and I said many things, including closing the account. She said the call is recorded, why would thy do something like that. I just hung up, too much questions and pretexting, is smelled fishy.

I was called by this number (718-233-3851) on November 4th at 2:33 p.m. When I picked-up the phone (after several rings), there was no one there. I called back the number from my caller I.D. and a man answered with just "hello" (no business name). I heard a lot of talking in the background; it sounded like a call-center. I asked,

"Did you just call me?",

to which the man replied,

"Yes, are you a Con Edison customer?" (Con Edison is the dominant electricity provider in New York City)

I should have then asked him who he was but I was preoccupied so I started hemming and hawing, saying something like,

"Uh..well...ah...". As I spoke, I heard an echo of myself and then the line disconnected.

I then Googled the phone number and landed here. The other reports here seem to confirm my suspicions of this caller being scammers.

I live in CT and just got a call from this number. When I answered no one was there.

I have been getting this call also and finally called the number.  He claimed he did not hear me when I said hello.  He acted as if I was calling his home not a business.  I told him to put me on the "do not call list"  I am tired of this call coming in constantly.  He told me he would put me on the do not call list.

I'm in PA and got the call yesterday.  When I answered no one responded so I started searching and the white pages says this is a landline in Brooklyn.  Based on prior messages; this is weird- some in NY, CT, PA.

I just received a call and there was no one answering then a woman said Hello and hung up.

I posted above, on November 4th.

Now I was just called by this number again. I answered after a few rings and heard silence.

I had the same experience they are an energy company!  SCAMMMMMMMMM!

Today was the second call I got from this number.  There is no one there when I answer and a call back does not go thru. Search on line gave me same address in Bklyn that others have posted.

I received a call from this number 718-233-3851 today, January 20, 2012.  When I said hello, no one responded.   I said hello again; and again no one responsed nor hung up the line.  I just hung up and googled this number because I never call back the phone number that calls me.

the caller called, said hi and hung up. The caller id didnt list who it was from but only the phone number 718-233-3851

I recieved a call from this number 1/27/2012 and I signed up. I then called my utility and they said I had the choice and I went over everything I was told from my phone call and the Utility Customer Service even told me it would REDUCE MY RATE! I couldnt believe that the Utility confirmed everything for me.  I think you might want to re consider your judgements and research how to save money on your electric bill.
