This Number Keeps Calling

Recorded message about "lowering interest rates ... as it relates to the financial stimulus package" and "this is your 2nd & final" notice.  "Press 1 to speak w/representative"  NO option to be removed.
If 1 is pressed: connection remains for 60-90 seconds; no live person connects; actual caller or company is never identified; call then disconnects.
Area code appears to be NY city area – amazing since they’re still recovering from Superstorm Sandy!
If # is called back: recorded message saying 'Customer Management Platform' has been reached in response to call from rep; offers these options:
Press 1 to connect to representative: results in another recorded msg to "please wait while we connect you" on hold for 60-90 secs; then "sorry all reps are busy leave msg" then it hangs-up
Press 2 to be added in their DNC database — what a joke
Press 3 to leave a message - maybe we should all call it and tell them “thanks for letting us report this #"
Press 4 for details about FTC/FCC rules: it is a recorded msg that says unsolicited calls can be reported to the FTC (888-382-1222) and/or FCC (888-225-5322); numbers are legit; then it goes on to say certain types of calls (political, polls, surveys, non-profits) are not exempt from calling, even if you're on DNC list...makes it sound as if they could be a legit caller or that by providing this info it was ok for them to call!   EXCEPT...fed rules also state even exempt callers must identify themselves, provide real phone number, and connect to a LIVE person within a really short amount of time.

Got a message on my cell phone today, just the end of a recorded message "to take advantage of this offer today..."

this number called today - caller ID says CARD SERVICES - no message

called, no name on caller id... left no message... enough already

It's obviously a scam because I don't have a credit card. These people really need to get a life. Why don't they use the effort they now use in conducting this insidious scam doing something constructive? How pathetic to go through life not having anything valuable to contribute.

Received a call from this number advising i could lower my interest rate.  I held until i spoke with a representative.  When i asked the representative to remove me from their call list she hung up

Comes up as Card Services on my caller ID,  My phone accepts NO calls without some form of ID displayed

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up..I receive calls from this and other numbers alot too.  This time I had an awful confrontation with the caller.  I asked to have my number removed from their call list because they were bogus.  My comment lit a rash of fowl comments and threats to my life!  I have reported them to my local phone company.  Put it this way, I was called everything but a white woman and I was going to be hunted down and killed!!  She also informed me that they were going to call everyday to make my life as living hell....I am so disappointed in the fowl mouth..makes me wonder what else she uses it for?

I did not answer the call because I never answer calls without a name.  I am on Do-Not-Call and have filed a complaint with them but I have no idea what they will do, if anything.

just the same old crap--best advise is ignore these scum bags--as long as the idot public keeps responding these dirt bags will keep calling--DO NOT ANSWER

Posters, please understand that the "do not call" list is exactly what the name says ... a LIST ... not a magic wand that prevents calls from connecting to your number.  Legitimate telemarketers use and abide by the rules.  Unfortunately for us, these robo callers are not legitimate companies and they are not telemarketers ... they are scammers 'phishing' for your personal info, and enjoying the profits.  Keep sending reports to FTC & FCC

Pressed one and got some smart alec flunkie who, when I asked her to remove me said, , "whatchew gonna do, shoot my house up, I'm so scared."  then she  hung up.  What's wrong with this picture.
