Recorded message left on my machine.....another "reduce your credit card interest rate" scam call. ID showed "NWYRCYZNO9NY." Makes no sense. What does it take to make these scums stop calling?

Caller i.d. displayed "Consumer Advocate", and its the wonderfully elusive computer voice "Bridget From Cardholder Services" telling me its my final offer to lower my rate.  LOL !  I don't even have a credit card !!!  SCAM !

No message left. At least one call a day for several days. If this is a legit business, why not leave a message?

Well, here I am once again, got another unknown caller on my cell phone.  I'm wondering still---how does my number keep making the rounds?  I didn't answer the call, and they left no message.  "Hello, if you would like to be put on a "Do Not Call" list for this number, please press "1" now..." is what I heard when I called the number back, but I just hung up at that point.  If I let THEM know I don't want THEM calling, what's to stop them from selling it to someone else?  That means technically, the FIRST caller with this number wouldn't be calling me back.  Some other new scammer would be calling, not them.  Such a mess!!
All incoming calls from people I know or other necessary places like dentists and doctors, I give distinctive ring tones.  When this call came, I knew from the ring tone it was another unwanted caller, especially since no message was left---someone wanting to really speak to me would leave a message and identify themselves.  Judging from the other persons here who have received a call from this number, sounds like different scams being used to get someone's attention.  I checked, and I am still on the "DO NOT CALL" national list.  Fat lot of good it is doing me.

Write the number down and report the scams to your local Police or Sheriff's Department, let them know you are on a Do Not Call List, also ask them if anyone else has reported this number as a scam.  You can also put the phone down and walk away, have a cup of coffee while they are asking questions, when you hear a dial tone, hang your phone up.  Then report it.  Hope this helps.

I just got a call from them as well. I called back the number and the first option is to be placed on a do not call list which will take 48 hours to be in affect. If after that they call I won't be nice trust me.

The "reduce your credit card" balony has been going on for quite awhile. I block the number and that's okay for a little while then their robo caller find me again. Too bad there isn't anything that can be done to stop this from happening over and over. AND - I'm on the 'don't call' list.
